Rooms are small and quite tired and good do with a freshen up/better cleaning

A small friendly hotel close to Lille Europe, walking distance to the Old Town and local eateries. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and happy to suggest the best places to visit and eat during our short stay. Staff spoke English but were also happy for us to practise our French!Although there were works going on at the hotel on the floor above our room, these tended to be started and completed each day mostly when we were out.There was a good choice of food for breakfast, hot and cold, and the staff were friendly and accommodating in regard to any food intolerances. A great hotel for a short stay in Lille!

There was nowhere to hang jackets/coats in our room

Breakfast was much better than expected. Large selection including sausages and scrambled egg. Very friendly and informative staff always willing to help and point you in the right direction. Easy walk to the main area of town and restaurants and bars just round the corner

Only 2 hangers in the wardrobe. Room felt quite cramped, had to move a table to use the chair! Hairdryer was under the sink under the towels so couldn't see it despite the note saying it was in the closet, had to ask at reception.

The room had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable! Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good - lots to choose from and well stocked. The location was perfect. So close to cafés and bars and easy to get to from Eurostar - we walked it easily.

1. The hot water in the showers was luke warm at best (so they didn't charge me for 3 days of parking) 2. We stayed in the family room and which had a split toilet and shower. However the toilet didn't have any hand washing facilities so everytime you had to walk up the stairs to wash your hands (we were told that they are planning to reconfigure the set up)

Family room was big, with the children’s bed and toilet downstairs and adults bed and shower upstairs on a separate balcony floor.It was nice to have two separate spaces. The room had a balcony you could look out from.

The shower took a long time to heat up, having to run the water for at least 5 minutes. Staff were apologetic about that.The children’s bed was a fold out couch, which would usually have been fine, but it was in bad shape, incredibly lumpy and creaky. The kids really struggled to get to sleep and the creaking woke them up in the night when one kids rolled over. The room was about 26 degrees (it was only about 20 outside) and the air con was loud and not that effective. We ended up removing the duvet inners and using the covers alone. The toilet was downstairs, but the only sink was upstairs, meaning we had to go up the stairs to wash hands each time.

Location was the best, on the pedestrian area with the nicest restaurants. Great breakfast, plentiful. Good choices and quality. Staff always cleaning and replenishing. We liked the family duplex room as it was quirky.

Family room loo was separate to bathroom, with no sink. Could do with another mirror somewhere in room.

Location was excellent right in the heart of the old town. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The room was also clean.

It’s very overpriced. 5 star prices for a 3 star room. On top of the €450 price tag for the room no breakfast included, and parking and local taxes still to be added. The hot water in our room did not work in the shower. The reception recommended leaving both the sink and shower hot taps flow continuously for 10-15 minutes which apart from a complete waste of water did not solve the issue.There were no cups or glasses in the room, only an array of different types of cheap paper cups placed at the coffee machine and mini bar and again at the bathroom sink. The decor is the room is outdated and the painting needs updating too. The internal window looking on to the street was covered in water. All in all a very average room.

It is a little quiet in the area in the morning so the only option for breakfast is the hotel…the hotel breakfast was lovely though

The location is perfect, very central, easy to reach the places of interest in the city

Our son was sleeping on the sofa but the bed cover sheets were missing. We had to ask two times before they proposed any solution.

Location was very good and close to city center of activities and lots of restaurants. Breakfast was extensive.

Room assigned to us had a loft so we had to climb the stairs to get to our bed and shower.

The room. For the money it was very basic. One small table. No mirror in room only in bathroom. Hairdryer available but note on wall said it could only be used in the room and not the bathroom. THERE IS NO MIRROR IN THE ROOM.There was a crack in the sink which was pointed out to reception. Was advised that the technician would be told but there was no offer of a room change.

Room very very small and decoration in breakfast room, corridors and reception looked very cheap. Carpet in room very dirty. Nowhere to hang towels.

BEWARE- they charge extra for parking and this was not made clear. I had to pay €50 extra in checkout. They say the NEVER include it with Booking.com.

Location right in the old town and just 15 mins from the Eurostar station. Some of the staff were very patient with my rusty French.

Seemed a bit basic for a 4 star, only slightly better than a premier inn. We had an over enthusiastic maid who repeatedly knocked on our door in the morning, disregarding the do not disturb sign we'd hung on the handle.
