Best Western Urban Hotel

Very nice hotel, old building but nicely decorated, beautiful floor in foyer, safe onsite and off road parking, beds very comfortable staff very friendly. I would return.

The staff was very helpful and really did try their best. We booked for two nights but decided to leave for another hotel after the first night. We got a partial refund for the second night

The hygiene, especially in the bathrooms. First room we got had peeling paint in the shower, some pubic hair left behind by previous occupants, and signs of mold in the shower. The second room we got also had less mold, but a toilet where the width between the shower screen and the wall was approximately 50cm.

It was beautiful inside. The shower was amazing, breakfast was good.

No milk and when we asked for some they said there wasnt any even though they have a restaurant and served milk at breakfast. The bathroom wasnt very clean, several hairs in the shower. Room was tiny.

Hot shower water was slow. Directions from booking.com site lead us to the wrong gate and had no signs to help us in the dark.Inside the parking area, the hotel entry was not clearly indicated. It's to the right!!

Beautiful property. Fabulous decor. Very friendly and helpful staff with great knowledge of the buildings history. The restaurant for dinner.

The breakfast room was very basic.

It has personality and gated parking. And the staff try hard in a laid back way.

It’s a bit run down, creaky and well past its prime. There’s a bar, but no place to sit, though they could easily put it in the breakfast room. It’s a hike to the center, but that’s not a deal killer for me.

Proximity and free parking

Staff members are not qualified. From reception who said there’s no parking place for me although i did mention in the reservation i need one, to the extra charge they made me pay than return because they made a mistake. They were kind but not professional

The hotel does not match the photos provided, these have been taken from great angles making it look alot better than it is, could not open bathroom door full as door hits bed and this was the second room as first room we was given was dirty and did not even have a handle to open window as was snapped off both rooms smelt and second smelt of drains got worse in the middle of the night, breakfast was dismal lots missing and not replenished, overall not a great stay at all, felt like staff did not care.

Room was ok and bed was comfortable.

Hotel is situated in possibly the worst part of town. Signs of drugs, alcohol and illegal immigrants everywhere. Inside the gated compound, i had to fight to get a parking spot as it looked like I had to leave my car full of holiday stuff outside in the streets. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed and nowhere to get a drink, spoiling the experience.

Everything was excellent. As it always has been on 2 previous stays.

Large shower attachment could not be made to work.

We stayed one night at the property, which has lovely rooms and a good beer garden. Secure on-site parking is a bonus.

They kept messaging us to secure the booking, we thought we had through booking.com.

Nothing really

The hotel is in a great location (just a 5-minute walk to the metro station). The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was perfectly fine, and the basement room for breakfast that was criticized in other reviews is absolutely okay. The hotel’s private parking lot is not very large, but I managed to get the last spot.

The room was very small for a double room, and the view from the window was into a bush. The air conditioning from the 90s had a slightly sweet smell when turned on.

Clogged shower drain - we had to take only a short shower because the shower tray got full of water very quickly and was at a risk of overflowingThere was some noise outside of our room at night which woke us up a few times.Just before 7am the fire alarm got triggered but we received no instructions from the staff regarding evacuation.
