Pros +
- A wonderful small hotel, in the centre of Bordeaux. The staff were absolutely lovely and could not have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Clean room and comfortable bed and we enjoyed the private jacuzzi and a massage as a treat. The breakfast was amazing, we thought before we had it that perhaps it was a bit expensive, but afterwards thought it was well worth it - delicious.
- The location was amazing, so close to so many shops, restaurants, and sites. The breakfast was delicious. The spa was AMAZING and so beautiful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I'm sooo glad I found this place!
- Location was amazing. Could walk everywhere I wanted to go. Concierge/manager was wonderful. Spent quite a while helping me plan an itinerary with personal suggestions/recommendations. Room was fantastic. Loved the tub! Sad that I didn't have time to try the breakfast or visit the roof, but hope to return someday.

From the minute we walked in, the level of service was incredible. They offered us coffee or tea, and then asked us to sit & relax before they told us more about the property. They showed us points of interest on the map, gave restaurant recommendations, and went out of their way to make sure we would have a great trip. The room is so perfect - everything is there - and it is decorated elegantly. Very quiet for a great night’s sleep! Perfect location. The breakfast was amazing & one of the best we have ever had! I didn’t have time to use the spa but so nice to have the services in this boutique hotel.
Very friendly staff (Thank you Chloé)Relaxing SPADelecious breakfast in bedConfortable and clean room
Delightful small hotel in a great location. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely furnished and very comfortable. We don’t often take breakfast as we are not fans of the buffet style often provided in hotels, so we were very impressed by the beautifully presented, freshly cooked breakfast which was served. The best we have been provided with for a long time!
The staff were amazing Especially Chloe, she made our trip with her knowledge of the area 10/10 for customer service
Room was a little small
The breakfast was incredible, from a salmon cheesecake to fresh yoghurt and granola, ham and cheese, poached eggs, all on one tray. My husband is dairy intolerant and Mathilde and the chef went above and beyond to give him the same exceptional quality with dairy free alternatives. Nothing was overlooked, Mathilde in particular really made sure everything was perfect for us. Even surprising us with wine and tapenade for my husbands birthday whilst we were in the spa. She aided us with reservation timings and nothing was too much to ask. I honestly cannot say enough about this hotel. The value for money is the best I have experienced across the world.
I honestly cannot criticise anything and that is rare for me.
Location and friendly staff
The size of the room and the view
We had the most wonderful time at Hotel Singulier. Francois-Xavier was an incredible host. As soon as we got there, he welcomed us with sweets and provided a map with which he guided us through the many sights to see in Bordeaux. Throughout the stay, he was there for anything we needed. Our room was wonderfully charming with elegant decor and convenient amenities. The hotel rooftop provided a marvelous view of the neighborhood and brekfast there was a lovely experinece. The location is perfect to explore the old city. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Rooms were very nice though and a good location.
The photos show the spa- which gave impression it was the lobby. There essentially IS no lobby, a teeny front desk (podium only), no restaurant, cannot even go look at the spa without an appointment. Unable to book a restaurant. I was really surprised and disappointed. Will find another option next time in Bordeaux.
We didn’t do the breakfast. The stairs were a little too much for us to climb to the top. The staff was amazing. The proprietor was so helpful, carrying our luggage, getting us adapters, and mapping out a pla for our day. Delia was wonderful the day we checked out by walking us to where our Uber was picking us up. A delightful stay.
We wanted a hotel in Bordeaux that wasn't part of a big chain. Hôtel Singulier Bordeaux hit that spot perfectly. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was immaculate, and the location very close to the heart of Bordeaux shopping/ restaurants/ cafes. Also a very tasty breakfast which set us up for a day of activity.
Nothing comes to mind, we enjoyed our stay here thoroughly.
My stay at Hotel Singulier was excellent! What stood out to me was the exceptional service of the staff - they made us feel at home and went out of their way to assist. The breakfast on the rooftop was a nice touch and I loved the quaint but modern feel of the hotel.
It would be nice for the hotel to have an elevator. The staircase was winding and narrow and it was a bit difficult getting up and down the stairs especially with luggage but the hotel staff were great in helping us with our luggage so certainly not a deal breaker.
The Team was just awesome and went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. Our room was an absolute dream, clean and just so cozy
The staff could not do enough for us. They were absolutely lovely.
The car park is quite a walk with a big case. The hotel door is in a side street and always locked but the code wasn’t shared until we arrived so we stood outside like muppets for a while in a dirty street (not the hotel’s fault about the street!). The location is just off the main drag and is great - just not the street. The aircon did not go below 19degs and it was stifling! We had a suite on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator- something you need to know when you have a heart condition and are travelling in the heat! The room was not a suite. The toilet and shower were in cupboards with glass doors on the front - I’ve been married 25 years and even we were uncomfortable! Breakfast was served on the roof and it rained - I had to ask for the umbrella to go up and the poor bloke next to us just finished his breakfast in the rain! Breakfast was overkill - too many ‘courses’ but each was very nice. I wanted to be completely positive but some of these points were big deal given how much we paid for the stay!
Wonderful staff and breakfast. Location put you in the heart of everything within walking distance. Great service and very professional. As they expand into the abutting property this we become a real gem.
They need an elevator, but as they expand, they will become a very nice boutique hotel.
Location was amazing.Views from the rooftop were phenomenal.Room and bathroom were large and very comfortable. So nicely decorated. The staff were the best! Made the stay one of the best I’d had in France.
Breakfast was exceptional, freshly made and too much to eatThe (very high standard) rooms were on the small side but who cares? We were there to see the beautiful city of Bordeaux not sit in a hotel room! What makes this hotel special is the staff. They really go out of their way to help you.
Beautiful hotel in great location. Staff made our stay exceptional. Lovely rooftop views over breakfast.
No lift due to location which wasn’t terrible but does mean you have to carry your luggage up steep stairs.
