Everything, such a beautiful French feeling hotel with amazing smells

lots of stairs but the hotel and room were worth it. Not good if you have a lot of luggage.

The bedroom was quite small and maybe too much in it. Bathroom was a good size but the shower cubicle was tiny.

Location is fabulous You can walk everywhere. Charming small property located near lots of restaurants and shops. Beauty and history all around you in Bordeaux.

The staff were pleasant and accomodating. We requested early check in which was provided. They helped us get our heavy luggage up the steep flight of stairs .

We actually couldn't sleep. The room was very hot. There was a ventilator that was provided but it was super noisy. The hotel, in spite of being called "l'Hotel des Grands Hommes", is clearly not dimensioned as such: the beds are tiny. The duvet that was provided was a winter one, so impossible to sleep in, given the heat. When we opened the windows, it was super loud outside. Around 3am, we gave up, took our stuff and went to another nearby hotel.

The property is located in the very heart of Bordeaux. It is steps away from the shopping district, restaurants, and a market. It is also next to the cinema.

Our only wish is that we could’ve stayed longer.

The location was perfect, right in the centre of the town. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Overall good value for money.

The room was not very spacious and there was no air-conditioning. They provided however a fan that was powerful.

This is a lovely, centrally placed hotel, run by a charming couple.Despite our room bring small, there was plenty of storage and throughout the hotel there were lots of personal touches. It looked like it’s been redecorated recently. Excellent breakfast. Steep staircase and no lift.

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The gentleman at the desk was kind and made us feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable.

Be aware that the steps are steep and there is no lift. There is no eating allowed in the room which is a huge turn-off when you get in late. Just seemed odd to have such a rule for a hotel room. The TV is in front of the bathroom door, waiting to hit you in the head. When the rooms in the hall unlock their doors it's very loud, but quiet otherwise from the outside.

If you have mobility issues, this hotel may not be suitable for you as there is no lift. Also the room is small but perfectly formed, however the shower is on the small side.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s small, cozy, and full of charm. Stéphane and a Stéphanie were absolutely lovely — always attentive, kind, and ready to help with a warm smile. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and its location is excellent. Highly recommend

Great location. It needs a serious renovation. The carpet in our room was very old, nasty, and filthy. It needs to be replaced urgently. Shower has to have a deep clean as it was full of mildew. Bathroom sink didn’t drain well. Hotel has no lift, so be ready to carry your luggage up the steps. Stephan was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was fair, but lack of scrambled eggs. We were very disappointed as the pictures were wonderful, but they are very deceiving.

Ideal location by les grands hommes easy access walking to all the sights and shops. Also easy access to the wonderful trams. Our host was charming and very helpful. The room was delightful and the breakfast excellent. A lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room driven by the kindness and efficiency of the staff.

Excellent location . very friendly and helpful reception staff. The shower room was a little small and a kettle in the room would have been a bonus .

The hotel would need a light refurbishment, the furniture is a bit old in the rooms and there is no coffe/tea facilities in the room.

The location is perfect to tour Bordeaux. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, as most European rooms are, but it was perfect!
