    • Location was great Breakfast was worth the 8¿
    • The location is perfect for a very central trip to bordeaux. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Beds very comfortable and good towels. Even with a street side room it was quiet because of the double windows. Shower although small and basic was very powerful. I liked the happy man who made my coffee this morning and was singing ! I was delighted the coffee was made like this and not from a machine that lots of hotels have. The cafe is a really lovely space . Lots of original architectural features which are fantastic . I love the fact that famous opera singers used to stay there.I enjoyed a.nice wine and a bowl of onion soup in the evening and breakfast the following morning.
    • Great location at main square, yet quiet. Terrific staff. Modern additions (elevator) to marvelous personable staff - unlike big chains (Hilton eg). Traditional large room with modern bath! facilities. So happy to have found Les 4 Sœurs. Pls inform staff to answer : Qui étaient les 4 Sœurs, svp

    Cons -

    • They do not turn on the air until after May, we had 1 extremely hot day and unable to get comfortable. Dirty and dusty rooms, Hotel could use an update of old dirty carpets. Not a three star hotel
    • The hotel is having some renovations done at the moment so was a little noisy and with floors being replaced in reception are was a little chaotic.I hope the gentle renovations and improvements continue but please dont take away any of the old charm. I dont like the small plastic bottles of shower gel, not good for the planet.
    • Small rooms without fridge, poor breakfast

Great location, friendly staff and cozy feeling.

Small rooms without fridge, poor breakfast

    9RichardPosted on: 1-12-2026

Friendly helpful staff. Perfect central location. Comfy bedrooms.

Shower over bath in tired-looking bathroom would benefit from an update…but it was still clean.

    9WendyPosted on: 12-17-2025

Location is perfect. Close to city centre, riverside and tram outside. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

No teas or coffee in the room but this is very common on the continent anyway. Hotel is dated but room cleaned every day and it was lovely and warm when visiting in December.

Modest value for money hotel in the centre of Bordeaux with friendly staff and near to cafés, restaurants and close to city centre shops and attractions.

    8ErinPosted on: 12-11-2025

The perfect location! Yes, the rooms are dated but the room we had was clean, cosy, comfortable and was the best location for a stay in Bordeaux. Great value for money so if you're happy to adjust expectations on the room and take it for the brilliant location, then I'd definitely recommend a stay here.

Great location! It was one minutes from tram stop and easy access to everywhere. It was very central and there were so many bars opned until late. I felt very safe after midnight. All staff are professional and friendly.

Room was quite big, and cleaner did a great job. But the building is old, no matter how hard a cleaner works, bathroom doesn't look clean. and quite smelly.

    9MarianPosted on: 11-10-2025

The hotel was located close to everything. We could walk to the cathedral, restaurants and much more. The staff was very friendly and very helpful suggesting restaurants and how to use the tram.

The location in the city center, staff at the reception seemed friendly.

The place urgently needs complete renovation. The common spaces, such as the staircase, are absolutely filthy. There are stains on the walls and the carpet is run down and dirty. The room was full of dust, especially on the carpet floor, which looked really disgusting. The window opened on the internal smoking area, and the room smelled of old and dust. The bathroom needs to be renovated urgently, the bathtub was chipped, as the toilet and some tiles. There was mould and a bad smell of sewage coming from the bathtub drain. It is by far the most disgusting hotel I've been, and I absolutely don't understand the 3 stars here on booking.com, the place looks nothing like the pictures.

    7RuthPosted on: 11-1-2025

The place is a bit shabby but my room was spacious and well equipped (I really appreciated the bathtub!!). Desk staff were friendly and helpful and the location is just excellent--near public transport, shopping, cafes, and top attractions.i would totally recommend it.

Desk staff are great but watch out for the maids! They threw away the special cheeses I had bought.

    8RowlandsPosted on: 10-27-2025

The friendly staff, the clean comfortable room with a great view! Also I loved the fact that we could book one room for two adults and our two children (12&11) most properties state two rooms which is very inconvenient!

    6DennisPosted on: 10-18-2025

Location is top notch. Bed was good, along with good pillows. Window opened with a great view. Next to the tourist office

Extra door in the hallway was not necessary. There was a bit of a sewer smell from the bathroom

    6RogerPosted on: 10-17-2025

The location is fantastic. Very much in the centre of Bordeaux - almost next to the tourism office and the theatre. Breakfast was OK if a little confusing. Our room was at the back of the hotel and surprisingly quiet for the location. It has a bath which we had requested. The lunchtime menu at the restaurant is very good value.

Room and bed were quite small. There was no safe in the room and no kettle either. Breakfast could have done with a hot dish.

    8SamanthaPosted on: 10-13-2025

Great location - beside the opera house. Very quiet room. Comfy bed. Shower water pressure was strong and also meant that a bath was easily filled and enjoyed after a long weekend of travel.

    8SamanthaPosted on: 10-13-2025

Right beside the Opera House and the main shopping streets and trams. About 2 minutes from the river.

    9JuditPosted on: 10-12-2025

Excellent location. The room was very quiet and dark at night. Good shower. Helpful staff.

    A bit dated.
