    Pros +

    • Top marks for the three staff members that we met - the warm welcome from the lady on reception, and the two restaurant personnel who went out of their way to welcome arrivals and checked that all the food items were plentiful
    • The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was varied and fresh. The bed was large and the shower was hot. It was quiet and warm, and the new TV was easy to cast to. Everything that we needed for a flying visit.
    • The hotel location was perfect for travellers driving north and south, just off the city ring road. The rooms are plain but warm and comfortable. The restaurant was exceptionable, especially for a budget hotel. The food was very good and plentiful and the staff were delightful. We could not ask for more and our pet dogs were happy too!

    Cons -

    • Exterior road noise, location, older building
    • The location wasn't the best area, and the concrete walkway to the rooms was dated and covered in mismatched repairs.
    • Nothing, it was what we expected

Easy to find and park at and then close tram stop to visit Bordeaux city

Nothing, it was what we expected

    Staff attitude, breakfast

The room had been up-dated. An enormous TV occupied one corner making it difficult to access the bed.The restaurant was closed. One of the main points of using Campanile is that after a long drive there is no need to go searching for some where to eat.

    Clean and tidy

The TV didn’t work and the WiFi was very weak.

Loved the continental breakfast with quality ingredients. Very comfortable bed. Ideal overnight stop between the overnight ferry into Cherbourg and our onward journey across Spain.

Wish we tried the restaurant. The lighting was a little bit too ambient for the winter and the switch for the bathroom lighting was in a very unusual location which made for an awkward sleepy wee in the middle of the night. Make sure you are aware of the location of this switch (just above the tank of the toilet) before going to bed.

I love the location. A quiet place with restaurants and a lake nearby. There is a security gate with a code.

The room was basic which was okay for the price but was cold because the heater didn't do much. The temperature setting didn't make any difference. Ideal for summer time though. There was a lot if dust under the bed, which concern I raised at the reception but was not addressed later when the room was cleaned.

after a long day of travel, the stall accommodated all of our requests. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and close to the parking. It was just what we needed. And extra points for being easy to get to

Excellent facilities and a room straight out onto the carpark was a big plus for us with 2 dogs, the bar is good and the restaurant is excellent and very reasonably priced. Definitely stay here again.

Staff amazing, Food very good, parking good & secure. 2nd visit, nice place to return to. Soundproofing great.

Renovations meant we had one of the older rooms. Would love to see the finished rooms.

    7ElizabethPosted on: 2-9-2025

The room was clean and warm. Great location for the Parc d'Expositions. For a place to stay where you just need a bed for the night it is great.

The building was a bit tired

    8DavidPosted on: 1-28-2025
