Tiny room. Finding the hotel by car is a nightmare. Narrow one way street and you needed to enter a code two blocks way to lower the road barrier on a street with a differnt name to drive in front of the hotel. Traffic backs up with angered drivers as you

The location is ideal. The staff went overboard to be helpful.

This particular room was especially small. We could barely move around. The bed was very short as well. We had stayed here before and did not have such a tiny room.

The staff was superb. I arrived ill and was ill throughout my time there. They went. out of their way to help me, including running interference with doctors when my French was insufficient to the. task.

Dated facilities

Hotel was in a good location near the upscale pedestrian zone. The beds were good and the room generally comfortable if a bit on the small side with a cabinet like bathroom. Breakfast was nothing special. I would say overpriced but that's the way things are these days in France isn't cheap.

The price

The staff was excellent. Ouahiba & Mikala on the front desk were outstanding, very helpful and friendly. They are true assets to this hotel. It was very hot during our visit and the room air conditioners worked great. The beds were very comfortable with excellent linens.

The only downside was the lobby & common areas were not air conditioned. It was not terrible since little time was spent in these areas. The hotel is in a pedestrian restricted area and getting to it by car requires getting into the restricted area. It would have been good to have this highlighted before arrival.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Francais for one night located in the city centre of Bordeaux. The location is accessible to main shops, restaurants and tram. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was modern and spacious with a very large bathroom. The breakfast was very good, with a lot of variety, great coffee and eggs to order. We would definitely return to this hotel.

They sent a last minute WhatsApp message about parking, but didn’t clearly state that the ticket and my car license plate number needed to be registered with them at check-in or I can’t receive a discounted price. Therefore I paid the full parking lot price ($111 for three days) instead of $60. They also didn’t seem to care when I mentioned the lack of communication on this point at check out. This was disappointing compared to all the other hotels booked on Booking.com during our trip to France that have sent multiple messages, even calling to make sure we knew where to park and the policies— and none of them even require us to register the car at check-in (they have their own tickets we use when we leave). This policy was new to us and next time they should ask at check-in if we parked our own car at the lot.

The staff were all very friendly and professional.

The bathroom arrangement was a little difficult. There was a frosted glass panel separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. At night when using it, the light could wake someone sleeping.

The room was nice and we had a bathtub, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception was open 24/7.

In the middle of downtown area. Staff at the desk was amazing and very helpful. Clean and comfortable.

Small rooms and getting into the hotel area with the car a little difficult but desk staff were helpful in resolving the issue.
