    Pros +

    • Beautiful hotel. Smelt incredible! The spa was so gorgeous and really massively enhanced our trip to Bordeaux. Loved the sweet thoughtful touches throughout, including housekeeping popping water next to the bed and popping on the reading lights for our arrival at evening times, very nice touches!
    • Location.
    • Excellent genuine 5 star standard. Very consistent service throughout. I have stayed in many hotels in Bordeaux over the past 18 years and this is by far the best 5 star hotel in Bordeaux. Excellent room quality, staff, gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Beautifully appointed.

    Cons -

    • That I don’t live there!!! No notes at all, just a perfect place
    • Our room was overheated which we spoke about with them 5 times over the 3 days and they realized there was an issue with their air system. Our room was 35 degrees. On the last night they gave us a fan. And then the last day the shower flooded out into our main bedroom all over our belongings.
    • The location is slightly farther from the town centre, still walkable or feasible to get a taxi or tram but not central. However, this did add to the element of quiet calm hideaway. Restaurant did accommodate my eight year old daughter's less elaborate palate. However, this was on request. It would be good to see a slightly broader selection /children options for both in restaurant/bar or in-room dinning. Breakfast was good. Parking us 40€ per night which is probably on the high side for this location and as I always tip the valet I think the parking should be maybe 30€ (Overnight in the centre of Bordeaux us only about 24€ ) as i think that guests would probably leave the valet a more generous tip...

Great staff, great place, fantastic restaurant and very comfortable room!

The space is absolutely beautiful. Soft lighting makes everything magical. Amazing bed. Nice staff. The bar at the restaurant is very good, definitely worth it. Amazing cocktails and nice Japanese food.

Too many rooms make breakfast service a bit chaotic and spa facilities get packed and messy.Breakfast selection is not worth the money. Common areas could be better, there's only space inside the Japanese restaurant. The location is a bit far from the center but you can take a 10 min cab or bus 5 which stops in front of the hotel.

    Staff, atmosphere, design, cosyness room

Spa area could be improved : water access in the steam room to clean the seats before seating Sauna is not a real sauna it burns the skin rather than getting really warm (no stones no water)The swimming pool has much chloring in.Room: some humidity stains area starting to appear on the wall

The staff was super welcoming and friendly during our visit. Always greeting us and asking about our day; they recommended some great restaurants. Spa was great super relaxing, massage could’ve been better but it was nice. Hotel was very nice, luxurious stay.

It was all great! except for a fire alarm at 4 in the morning

The staff were very attentive. Tom recommended a local brasserie which met our requirements exactly. Our dog was made welcome and a bed and food bowls were provided.

Our little dog was not permitted in the restaurant.

Bed. Service. Shower. Linen Facilities. Valet parking. Top notch

Location is a bit far from city center to our liking but manageable

    8RomillyPosted on: 11-10-2025

The room, the facilities (spa) and the service. The overall vibe is great too

Our room had so many mosquitos, and our towel rail did not work so after the spa our costumes couldn’t ever be dry, nor could the towels. I did flag this to the reception but they had not managed to fix.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The location was good and only 30min walk from the city center.

Breakfast was very average especially the eggs on order.

Spa and swimming pool are really small

    7SimonePosted on: 10-19-2025

Comfortable rooms, lovely swimming pool and small spa area. Very good breakfast.

The service was quite slow in the restaurant for drinks. It was very slow service on the terrace.

Location, room, good breakfast and an excellent Japanese restaurant

Parking not directly accessible; view of room towards other rooms on the opposite side of the building

The staff collectively were excellent - friendly, polite, smartly-dressed with very good levels of English spoken. I'd like to thank them all for their attention and high level of customer service. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The housekeeping service was first class. The car parking service was also first class, with cars delivered promptly when requested. The rooms were very well equipped and furnished. The bed linen was luxurious and and the beds were extremely comfortable. There are a lot of positives about this hotel, but there are some major weaknesses.

The restaurant is by far the major weakness in this hotel. It's Japanese themed - great if you like Japanese food, not great if you don't. Clearly many people do like it, as in the evenings, the restaurant was very busy, but I suspect the majority of diners that we saw were not residents at the hotel. But the restaurant feels soulless due to its minimalist decor. There is a bar area, with a high table to sit at, but it's not comfortable, and the hotel lacks a comfortable, quiet, place to have a drink. The choices are either the reception area, watching people check in, or outside. The courtyard was not open when we stayed due to bad weather, but that is more of a restaurant overflow area than a quiet area for a drink and conversation.Breakfast was very average. Exactly the same food, in the same place, every single day. There was no variety at all during the week, unless you chose to have scrambled eggs rather than poached, or a different filling in your omelette. Service at breakfast was normally quite good, but on our last day (Saturday), it was shockingly bad. We had to chase up every order we placed and the food that arrived was cold and barely cooked. It really felt as if breakfast was something to get out of way, so that they could get on with the money spinning work, which was preparing for the evening Japanese meals. On one occasion, two chefs started butchering a tuna fish about 5 yards away from our breakfast table while we were eating. As a vegetarian, I don't particularly want to see/smell that at any time of the day, but I definitely don't want to see that when I'm eating breakfast. The other major weakness is the location. The hotel is simply in the wrong place. The street it is situated on feels down at heel, with rampant weeds growing out of the pavements, and graffiti on some building walls. The walk to the nearest tram is about 10 minutes, which isn't ideal, but it is what it is.

Staff were exceptional and the hotel facilities and restaurant were top notch. Loved the spa options.

Location was not quite as central as we would have liked but that is being quite picky. A very easy ten minute walk to the excellent metro line.

Everything was great - staff, room, spa and restaurant
