Pros +
- The hotels proximity to the train station and the city center was the very convenient.
- The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable.
- Old, but perfect. The street was a little solitary, but OK. Excellent price/value
Cons -
- The room cleaning was not great. The floors were dirty. The hotel does not offer any place to even fill a water bottle ( there is a vending machine) and does not offer any in room safe or fridge or microwave anything. It is all in a private kitchen.
- Horrendous experience. I chose to hang up my jacket in the armoire in the first room I was assigned. I opened the door, simply picked a hanger off the rack and then was whacked in the eye by the heavy armoire falling on me. Terrifying.
- The parking can be tight and one might have an issue with the parallel parking that is required on the street. I believe private parking is an extra cost.

Room: The space was simple yet serene, with clean linens and a gentle ambiance that invited rest after a long day of mission and movement. Though modest in size, it offered the essentials with quiet dignity.? Location: Nestled just outside the bustling center, the hotel felt like a hidden garden—close enough to walk to key sites, yet tucked away from the noise. A peaceful base for reflection and exploration.
The hotel rooms all have air conditioning. The staff are very nice and willing to speak English with you even if they won’t admit to being fine speakers of English. The breakfast buffet offered is very basic but nicely arranged and a good value. It was enjoyable to be in the garden while having some coffee and pastries. The hotel is outside of the walls of Avignon but is a short walk away from the main city center area. The location is relatively quiet and calm.

Lovely garden and easy access to drive to just outside the walls. Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice to sit and picnic in the garden after a day of sightseeing.
We were in a room in the garden extension which was fine, comfortable, clean but lacked the charm of the older part of the hotel. The trade off was it was easier for my dog to stretch his legs in the garden.
Nice older hotel that has been well maintained with historic charm. The hotel has a small garden area in the back with seating and tables to enjoy a drink or a little quiet time. The hotel is a short 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Avignon and is minutes to the train station.
The breakfast was quite sparse, it would have been nice to have the option of fresh fruit and eggs.
Hotel Jardin has very friendly staff and management who all do their best to make your stay very comfortable. Rooms are simple but have all you need. The location is very central, near the historic part of Avignon but also close to the train station and access roads
Close to city and off-street parking not too difficult to find. Host very friendly and helpful
Lovely people and great hidden garden
Just some far sounds of the trains, but nothing to worry
The room is clean. The location is convenient to city and train station.
I don’t understand the 8/10 score of this property. I was in room #5. The room atmosphere looks different than the pictures. The price is higher than the chain brand hotel but facilities are old and limited. The hotel seems paying too much effort on cost cutting. For example, hairdryer is not provided in room. Only 2 paper cups, 2 little bags of body washes(I will say no more than 10ml), 2 pieces of thin soaps are provided. When the towels, cups and soaps are used, they did not change or complement new ones. I booked 3 nights, which means in the last night I had to wash my hairs with soap(this is not a good idea as it made my hairs super dry and sticky) and brushed teeth with dirty used cups, because these are not changed even the given ones are used. When I checked in, I was not told where I can find these items like hairdryer. The staff in reception will leave after 7.30pm I guess so no one could enquire from when I am back to hotel in the night. There was also no one on the reception when I left hotel around 8.30 am. But the staff are friendly. The door is bad at sound insulation. You can hear others talking or shaking keys on the corridor when you are sleeping. The property does not worth the rates.
Stayed in room #1. Nice view of garden, quiet and big. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good bike parking.
I didn’t use the wifi so didn’t ask. We only stayed one night but the lady who worked there was really lovely and very helpful. She booked us in at a great restaurant as other places were full and the breakfast was a really great buffet that we didn’t expect.Couldn’t be happier!
Close to station and historic center, but off the beaten track. Very friendly service.
The garden is pretty, but right behind is a multistory building
We had a late check-in and a code for the front door was provided, and our key with directions on how to find our room were left in an envelope at the reception. The family room was huge, with two separate rooms and a corridor with bathroom separating the two. The room was very basic but immaculate. The breakfast buffet was great and the lady was very kind and friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We did not reserve parking, but there was plenty of space in the road outside the hotel. There is also a big car park at the end of the street.I would definitely recommend this address.
We have been received in a very kind way. The reception-lady was competent, very friendly. She also was in charge for the brakfast and was caring about each guest - great. The garden in the inner courtyard is fantastic - giving space and quiet. The room is quite spacious (garden room), even the smaller one we were in.
The room was little, so was the bathroom, too
welcoming stuff, bfast, location
oldish hotel, smoke smell
Friendly and helpful staff.
Beds could be more comfortable. Wifi was very slow.
Charming building on the edge of the old town Avignon. The location is really great and it's great value for the money. Marie was just the loveliest host. The garden is beautiful and creates a magical atmosphere outside the rooms.
The rooms are adequate, though quite simple. The breakfast was actually a bit disappointing, there were no eggs or fresh fruit available and by that point we could really use something else than just bread.
A typically French old hotel situated just outside the city wall of this very busy town. Walking distance from the railway station and the town centre. Very good continental breakfast which could be taken outdoors in the sunny enclosed garden.
Would have preferred to have shutters or a blind in the bathroom window to afford a little more privacy
