About
La Mirande, dating back to 1309, is a hotel located in Avignon's city center. It offers 18th-century style guest rooms with views through the antique windows overlooking the Palais des Papes. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. Each of the soundproofed air-conditioned guest rooms at La Mirande are decorated with a different wall tapestry, and have oak-wood parquet flooring and silk-lined curtains. All rooms have a private marble finish bathroom with a bath and some offer a view of the Palais des Papes. Some rooms also have a shower. In the morning, there is a choice of an American or a continental breakfast served either in the hotel's restaurant or in the privacy of the guest's room. Guests at La Mirande can enjoy gourmet cuisine in the main restaurant or relax with a drink in the hotel bar in the evening. They can also experience the 'Table Haute' Chef's table for dinner, upon reservation and on certain evenings only. Cooking lessons can also be taken at La Mirande. Guests will also find a gift shop on site which offers local produce, linen, decorative items, porcelain tableware and handbags. La Mirande is 41 mi from Marseille Provence Airport, and there is a shuttle service available. Calvet Museum is just 984 feet away. There is a valet parking service available on site.

- This hotel is like a movie set ,beautiful furniture and decor every corner a picture I had the 9 course lunch in the Mic
- The perfect stay - gorgeous hotel, professional polite and friendly staff, excellent location, fantastic food. I even learned how to navigate medieval cobblestone streets in our rental car.
- The hotel's location was perfect. Next to the Palais de Pape, great outdoor restaurants and shopping.
Cons -
- literally nothing. it was perfect
- Navigating the streets of Avignon to the hotel...but that is not the hotel's fault!
- Very small room. Bath tub is high which makes it dangerous to climb in and out. At least there should be a railing installed on the side. Bed too soft.

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful and charming hotel with lush gardens, an exqisite dining room, and lovely bar.
Everything was gorgeous!
Elegant and beautifully decorated hotel with sumptuous furnishings and design. Service was excellent and food was superb.
My only criticism would be that it is very tired, particularly the bathrooms and I would like to see it renovated.
Wonderful period property with very helpful, professional and multilingual staff.Sumptuous decor throughout. We enjoyed the bistro evening meal which was as fine as you would expect in an establishment which has Michelin starred dining.Bedroom very elegant with view of Papal palace. Hotel very central with many local sights and other eating establishments.
The smell , conform , and the taste and the color .. when u enter to the gate you pass in to a different age and the world . If that is the aim of the owner of the Mirande and she / he succeed it . We had a wonderful dinner and even more perfect breakfast . The rooms are so clean and clean and new material but like my grandma home a balanced orientalist and 18 century French style …
Na
The room is excellent well decorated, comfortable and very quiet in evening times.Breakfast's place is beautiful, outside is garden.Their lobby is my favour spot in the hotel, charming and cozy for reading or relaxing, Tea cake choices during tea time is excellent too, a lot tea choices. The hotel itself is not a fancy luxury hotel, it is prestige, sophisticated, and luxury in a subtle way.
location is in the historical center, just next to the Papas Palace, the hotel is small but very cozy, the staff was very helpful with luggage and the parking our car
nothing to complain about, except it is not easy to find the right way if driving yourself by google map
Staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful; food ( particularly La Table Haute) was SUPER ! The concierge handled all excursions and the guides were terrific !
the shower had a "step up and down" to get in ... Not safe for older adults
Locality and authenticity
Rooms small and the brasserie food was expensive and disappointing.
Very nice location, beautiful building, nice rooms.
The air conditioning was not able to fight the summer heat. In the common areas it’s completely inexistant, in the bedrooms you can feel some freshness but more like in a 1980 system. NO ROOM SERVICE AFTER MIDNIGHT you cannot get anything, the only employee in the hotel at midnight was a receptionist.
Lovely location. Lovely building. Very well maintained. Beautiful food. Very kind staff.
The aircon was not good
Oozing with atmosphere and you can’t beat the location. Wonderful restaurant in a beautiful garden
All good
The best location in the town.
Everything, from location to the high end service. Design and landscape of this property is a top notch.
location amazing. atmospheres incredible. staff great
Not the hotel's fault but there was a noisy disturbance outside on the street at 2.30am
Breakfast was good but not amazing. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
The restaurant in the hotel was closed for 2 days. And the replacement restaurant "Le Table Haute" was only staffed with 1 chef and 1 waiter. We've been there several times before and there were at least 4 staff on site. The menu was much richer and larger than this time. Apparently a lot of money has to be saved here. No candlelight, no singing by the staff, all the charm was gone. Even the decoration of the old, medieval ambience was covered with ridiculous flowers.
Excellent location, hospitable and knowledgeable hosts, clean and spacious rooms in a quaint boutique hotel. We were upgraded to a king room from a standard double- so kind! Nuxe products with a strong shower and soft large towels made the recharge delightful. The mini bar was gratis including en suite nespresso pods for morning coffee. We did not have time for breakfast, but anticipate that it would have been a delight just like our stay. Will definitely return.
Nothing to improve
The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the castle. The hotel lobby and rooms are very comfortable and have a sense of history. The dinner restaurant is also very good and the taste is good.
