    Pros +

    • The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the Palais des Papes, walking distance to most everything. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, included the free wifii and in-room bathroom.
    • The regular day staff behind the desk and the cleaners are lovely. The rooms have been renovated tastefully to retain historic character. The rooms are clean and the bed is large and comfortable. The location is fantastic. The historic sites, restaurants and shops are accessible and within easy walking distance. The windows prevented the room from being too noisy day and night. Arrangement had been made to check us in late at 22.30 hrs, I thank them for that reliability. My husband enjoyed his French onion soup when we ate at the restaurant
    • Location. Literally across the street from the Palais des Papes.

    Cons -

    • One day, I could not get hot water for my shower. So I took a quick sponge bath.
    • The bathtub is too high to step over safely to shower if you are elderly or disabled. A walk in shower would have been better. The tap to the shower would not go fully on to switch to shower. Water came out of both the shower and the bath tap simutaeneously.Excessive and unwelcoming house rules in the guest handbook (about 16). They gave us a negative impression of the hotel and cause for anxiety. No Wifi instructions were included in the handbook. For two days we thought they had no Wifi until we asked at the front desk.We arrived late . The person who checked us in was strange and hard to follow. They ate their dinner throughout, talked incoherently with their mouth full and barely helped with luggage. I don't think they were regular check in staff (who are lovely)We tried the restaurant. The pepper steak I had from the Chef's recommended menu was extremely thin and was both poor quality (very chewy, thin and hard to swallow) and poorly cooked. I ordered medium rare. In places the steak was raw with white sinew, and the fat was not seared so it too was not cooked and raw. I left most of it. My husband enjoyed his soup. Service was initially poor as first we just ordered drinks. It improved when we moved to tables preset for dinner and told them it was poor (we were being ignored) and wanted to eat. With better overall service and better food quality the restaurant could be a real gem ⁵

Unpleasant stuff ,dirty place, smell , was not water in the bathroom, only toilet worked when outside was +45 C.Elevator not worked ,i choose this hotel for my old mom, ups.Without elevator was not possible for her and stuff said its just today, and the paper on the elevator already old.I never been in the hotel like this for the price i payed.Even when i pay less hotels are more comphortable and nice.I do not recommend it till somebody buy this hotel, replace everybody and do renovation

Very central location, cozy rooms, helpful staff and very convenient dining options at the hotel’s restaurant. Booked very last minute and the owner was very accommodating, will definitely come back.

Nothing but the fact it is so underrated!

    Location and staff

The outside terrace was not kept up and dirty - it was too hot to go out there so it didn't matter but if I wanted to, I would be bummed. Very nice otherwise

    Location

Very dirty. The bed linens where hard and not clean. The bathroom was very gross

We had a very nice, quiet room in the style of the old buildings in the area. There was also a small table with two chairs, a TV and a large, clean bathtub.

Unfortunately the drain to the bathtub was stuck so we were unable to drain it after using. The two chairs for the small table in the room were ready to break. We informed the staff and they were very responsive and said they would take care of those issues right away. The main reason we gave this hotel a rating of 7 is because of the way it advertised “Parking” under PROPERTY FACILITIES (see photo). We assumed, incorrectly, that parking was included. The only way to know you had to pay was by drilling down to “PROPERTY POLICIES” where it does clearly state that it costs €14 BUT that the hotel would give you a 20% discount on the parking. The parking IS very conveniently located with a pedestrian access just in front of the hotel. However, the cost was €19.30 and the front desk refused to give us the 20% discount because the “patron” wasn’t there.

    Beautiful building, perfect location

You have to be very strong to get out the front door when it's locked; I couldn't do it. But I could get in.

    8MargaretPosted on: 10-15-2024

It’s proximity to parking and attractions.

The bed was very firm. While the room had a nice bathtub, the stopper was removed so you could only shower. We were at the end of a hallway, and the light switch was at the end, so you had to walk down a dark hallway and fish for light switch. Motion detection could fix that.

    Wonderful location and good parking.

The room was shabby and in need of updating. Elevator not working and bathroom dingy.

    6GlendaPosted on: 9-3-2024

Breakfast good but dining room very gloomy.

The hotel is not clean. The lift did not work.

    8RobynPosted on: 8-24-2024

Perfect location for visiting the Palais des Papes, shops, markets and restaurants. A good size room and very friendly, helpful staff.

Entrance was a little hard to find but our taxi driver pointed us in the right direction.

Great location, clean room, nice and large bed, nice staff, parking discount.

The hotel is a bit old, frickin elevator.

    1ElnurPosted on: 5-20-2024

Nothing. The room smells bad! It’s very hot AC not working, very dirty in the room. Shame to booking that they add such hotel!

The bed is wet and not dry! The small animals in the room be careful.

    8JuliePosted on: 5-8-2024

Its location is fantastic and the outlook from my room was great. It has an elevator.

The double bed was two singles together so it had a big bump in the middle.

    9NickPosted on: 10-25-2023

amazing and very old building in the centre - very comfortable, great staff , clean and comfortable, dog friendly, large underground car park about 250m away - will stay again

    7WenstromPosted on: 10-20-2023

The location was phenomenal with a beautiful view of the popes palace

The place needs a little upkeep. The bathroom mirror was duct taped together. One of the two sinks in the bathroom the faucet didn’t work. The second sink did though so not the end of the world. The hot water didn’t work in the shower on the first day but they did end up fixing it. We never got really hot water but definitely warm and comfortable. Also just simple burnt out lightbulbs should be changed.
