Hotel Engel

The room was very clean, Hotel was very well located. The breakfast was delicious.

The staff was friendly and flexible to find a solution to my requests. The room and common spaces were comfortable, it was also quiet.

The hotel offers everything you need (fridge in the room, breakfast, lunch, dinner, parking, etc.).

A coffee machine in the room would be nice

Small room but well equipped apart from any seating area .....but there was a lot of that around the hotel. Extremely good evening meal.....sat outside in the front area and had delightful waitress

Breakfast was good but was quite a long way from our room and involved several stairs......mobility issues and walk with 'wheels' Similarly room.....several stairs to negotiate

Emergency booking due to airline cancelling flight but hotel was comfortable and clean. Restaurant attached was good

The receptionist was super friendly, they have 24h service and they did not mind that I arrived late at night for the check-in. He kindly helped me to sort out a food order and suggested different options of places available to deliver directly to the reception. The room was a bit small but comfortable, it had everything I needed. It was very clean and the bed was nice. The bathroom was also very clean. I can defiinitely recommend. It is located in a quiet area, therefore you can get a very good night sleep.

Unfortunately my wife got a room on top of reception and the outside restaurant, resulting in almost no sleep.

- no hotel-own Car-Charger (as expected, because it's declared at booking.com) - only a public one in front of the hotel (always busy, so I was unable to use it)- to few 230v-plugs and too far from the bed, for charging my phone- the room was very "retro" or just "old"

Bathroom was not clean at all. A lot of mould in and around the shower. Internet connection was not able to support a 480p stream.

A very clean hotel in a quiet place. The mattress and pillows are comfy. The location is great, a five min walk to bus stations or to the subway line U2. The staff are super friendly and helpful!

The staff , the interiors, and the serounding were clean

It's not easy to find food. Need taxi or walk to train station. The train station is quite far. If you carry lots things better used taxi.

Food was very good and staff were very friendly. everything was as expected and it was a very easy and enjoyable stay thank you.

my only criticism was that on my 2nd day when i returned to my room i found it to be still unlocked from where the room had been cleaned, thankfully nothing was missing from my room but i would like to think that the staff would double check that doors have been locked when they leave.

Bad

the silence was still broken in the hotel from 4 am, someone was still making noise. The soundproofing was poor for a hotel of this price. at my request at 5 am for someone from the reception to silence the noises from the rooms in the vicinity, these conversations and screams .. the staff told me to change the room ... it's sick ... no one cared that there might be some horror going on there. I haven't slept since 4 am ... and at my request no one bothered to check where these sounds and these loud conversations and screams are coming from. I have record those noises its heard everything from your neighbourgs

Service, comfortability, breakfast, everything is great.

It is close to the Airport, only from 23h to 6,30h you will not hear the planes. Insulation is not the best.

most rooms don’t seem to have a “ Do NOT DISTURB” signs in the room , and the housekeeping often knocks on the hotel room door several times in tge morning ti see if you want your room “ to be made up” - it was disturbing at 8;00 am and then 10:00 am etc

Friendly staff, very clean hotel, good breakfast.

It is a quite location. Located near a restaurant and near the woods. I would describe it as being relaxing and not so near busy Hamburg.

The shower was a bit small for me and it had a shower curtain. The ceiling had some cobwebs and the building looked quite old. Public transport did not run regularly so had to walk about 1 kilometre to get to u-bahn. The bar fridge didn't work properly.

Nice restaurant with great food.

Extremely warm room without ventilation.
