Pros +
- Super friendly staff, great location directly across from Ubahn, apotheke, coffee, etc.
- Excelent location right besides the underground station and very close to a super market and restaurants. Good showers with hot water.
- I liked that it was close to rail transportation. Other than that, there is nothing to like about the hotel.
Cons -
- The door was very tricky to open and often required multiple attempts to unlock it
- The lighting was horrible, the bed was sagging, and the elevator very small.
- First of all, the price and comfort balance is not suitable, I stay in many hotels in many countries around the world, I can easily say that I did not receive any service for the 165 euros I paid for 1 night. In the system, it says 90-140 cm wide for a single bed, I think the bed is the smallest size (90 cm or less )and you cannot move it on one side of the wall, on the other side the fixed coffee table is in your face and I could not sleep for 2 nights. It is an old hotel, it is not comfortable, the toilet is very small, I had to pull my belly in to get into the shower. There is no reception when you enter the hotel, don't pay attention to the fact that it says "Breakfast", breakfast is not provided. You get your key from the check-in section and enter. They did everything to reduce costs and make more money for themselves, but they did not show the same respect for their customers. It was a boring and bad stay for 2 days for me.

Very friendly staff! We arrived a few hours before our check-in time, but they let us store our luggage, and even moved it to the room, when it was ready, so we could stay out until after reception closed. The room was nice and had a comfy armchair.Several restaurants and food stores are nearby and there is a large fridge where you can buy drinks in the entrance area.It also isn't far to the subway station, where you can get to CCH and Planten un Blomen in a single stop or to the main station in 5 stops.
The bathroom could not be locked (private Bathroom in the 2-bed room, so not a big issue).
Perfectly solid option for a few nights on a business trip. Clean, easy to use, quiet, and very well located. Would reccomend and stay again.
It was quite ok - small rooms, very clean. If you get the room with a window to a main street - it is going to be noisy.
Breakfast is poor choice: egg, bread, some sausage and jams. Also, they are slow on refilling everything. They shall improve on this.
All stuffs are friendly and smily. Breakfast is good and I enjoyed it every morning. Access from the Hamburg airport is good and hotel is quite near from the station of Hallerstrasse. The room is clean and comfortable space.
Great location opposite the Underground, only 2 stops to the city and the Binnen Alster.Or you could walk to the beautiful Außen-Alster.Many restaurants in walking distance.
I missed a coffee making facility for a quick morning coffee in the room.
good location,good breakfast
we had 2 rooms, but the light was broke in the first bathroom, and the second bathroom has terrible problem, the shower is broke and the water was everywhere, there is no drain on the ground,we had to clean by ourselves for hour long………There is no service at all.
The location is great the staff really helpful and friendly it is very clean and safe
No refrigerator in the room and no electric kettle
very convinient for the location quite comfortable very clean
no staff to welcome us at 5 pm. we did not really like the "do it yourself" bed in the corner not ideal for a couple's room no plug accessible to plug my machine for my health condition
Location, welcoming staff, Spartan room but spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed with good duvet and linen
A bit dingy. Also they promised to order me a taxi for 0430 but it didn’t come - no idea whose fault
Location, powerful shower
Room is tiny and outdated. Feels like a shoebox diagonally cut in half. Very expensive for what it was.
The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly, amazing service, great family-owned vibe. The self check-in was easy-peasy and that combined with the personal service the next morning was great.Awesome location close to Grindelhof and the U-Bahn, grocery stores, restaurants.
The bathrooms are a bit small but very clean and all you really need. They could use sheers on the windows so you can have privacy but natural light at the same time. Otherwise well equipped.
I really liked the room and the location near the metro station, Hallerstraße. I also liked that German was spoken so I could practice my German.
The breakfast could have had a little more to offer but it was not at all bad.
It was near the place I needed to visit.
Room on the main street, you hear the cars voice/noises all day and night.
The check in was quite easy. The heating worked well. Location is good.
Noise was terrible. The elevator is quite loud and kept me up half of the night. You can also hear all the noises from the halls - including different floors - and from other rooms. Also, I was put off by the fact that no personnel is present all night. But then again, the check-in machine was surprisingly easy and efficient to use. The room I had was small and under a roof, so half of the room had a very low ceiling.
Good location next to metro station and several restaurants.
Unfortunately, the guest in the room next to mine had set a repeated alarm early in the morning, so I was woken up by constant ringing for more than half an hour. Otherwise the location was quiet.
Great location, self-check-in, staff is nice (when they’re around)
The room is ridiculously small, the window doesn’t open properly, there’s an incredibly dusty fan and the bed is very small. There is no staff around for the majority of the time.
The location is perfect, close to hallerstrabe. The staff was very helpful and kind.
There was a lot of noise during the nights, as I assume the doors were not so soundproof.
