B&B Hotel Hamburg-Harburg

The hotel and rooms are the typical Hotel BB rooms, so nothing wrong with them. Clean, confortable for a short stay.The breakfast is also your typical Hotel BB breakfast: some nice bread and bread stuff, decent coffee, some orange and apple juice from the package, a few yogurth and cereals.

The problem with the rooms is that in this hotel, in each room there is a ventilation shaft installed on the top of the window, which is closed with only a small plastic cover. The hotel is in front of the highway and train line. This means that all night long you can hear all the noise like you were outside. Not for light sleepers.

Clean, easy to check in and check out.Good and safe parking Breakfast was a crowded, Cuban lady working a lot and trying to help everyone when it was packed. She should have somebody helping her. She really helped everyone when stuff was missing. Kudos to her

Consider 10 min walk to train station.Also the hotel, should hire someone to help her. Or the guy sitting at the desk could have helped her.

Everything worked in the room. Comfy bed. Loads of power sockets. Felt secure.

I travel and stay in many hotels. Like over 60 hotels this past year. One of the reasons to stay in a hotel is to have interaction with the staff, especially in an unfamiliar area. There was no staff on duty, with a slightly confusing automated check in system. All messages from the hotel through Booking were sent in German. I understand I am in Germany but as a frequent traveler most communication is done in English or at least with the local language, plus English.

Convenient for an overnight rest.

Room too small, A/C not working properly, when arriving late parking was a problem as the parking lot is not designed for anything bigger than a Vespa.

The staff were so friendly and Christian the manager went above and beyond yo make us and our son happy. We could leave some items in the fridge behind the reception which was great and super helpful. The room was not big but fine and there was a TV and a shower. The breakfast was quite good and well maintained. The parking is behind a barrier and free. The old town is an easy 10 minute walk just across the bridge. Anything you need is there.Would come back for sure.

The room was clean and easy enough to access, Bed mattress was comfy enough for me.

The pillows were pretty bad, Almost non existent, room was a bit on the small side.

The carpet doesn’t fit the place cos it give dust to the room and hair

The room's window was over a train track, it's was very very loud almost all night long even with the window closed, and if you close the window you have to turn on the AC, which was even louder.Oh and I keep scratching my body since I slept there.

The location is quite far away from the city center and the airport but as S-bahn station is just next to it the commute is quite nice. Breakfasts were great there is a variety of choices and everything is fresh and of good quality. The room is spacious and it was clean, it had all necessary furniture to unpack your luggage and rest.

There is a quite loud road and railway right outside the hotel - maybe offering earplugs would be a great option (or offering them to buy). Other than that I very much liked

After walking from the train station and crossing a flyover with my luggage, I arrived to find my booking had been canceled. They claimed they had tried to contact me, but I received no call, email, or message through Booking.com. Frustrated, I was offered a transfer to another hotel in their chain, a 30-minute taxi ride away. When I asked if they would cover the cost of the transfer, they refused, adding to the already poor service experience.

We have stayed here several times before. Reassuring when travelling to know we will get a good clean room and simple check in , 10 minutes walk from the rail station. Harburg has developed from an industrial clearance area to a pleasant waterside district in old dockland. Now has restaurants and an EDEKA near the hotel.

Football championships (not our reason to visit) boosted hotel prices throughout Hamburg. BB Harburg was more expensive than some previous trips but reasonable value when compared with alternatives.BB hotels do not provide in-room tea or coffee
