Hotel Hanseat Hamburg - Free Parking

It is decorated and looks welcoming. The room was clean, everything was tidy and perfectly in order. No bed bugs, no nasty surprises, although the price is very low. S-bahn 10 mins away on foot, it's easy to get connected to the transportation and get around.

Slight odor in bathroom, not offensive, but not pleasant either, could not identify what it was. Room is quite tiny, but for 1 person who just needs a place to sleep while being busy in the city, it's perfectly acceptable. Bergedorf is not the hottest part of Hamburg, but it's easy to reach the S2. Hotel is adjacent to a petrol station and a 2x2 way street, and it's not very sound proof: for me though it was not a major issue as some sound do not disturb my sleep too much.

Only for one night stay recomended, price is ok.

Everything is old and with unpleasent smells. Room is 9² so only recomended for one night stay.

the staff was very nice and warm water was always available at the time, I had a personal kitchen a washroom, and a huge room. I would definitely visit again.

The floor in the room was dirty. The bed sheet was not clean! There was dust everywhere in the room. The toilet was not inside the room, but far away from the room. Even though I had booked a room with a private bathroom! The toilet was also dirty and very small. There was no soap or towels. The glass door of the shower was broken. You couldn’t close the glass door of the shower. I am very disappointed with this hotel and dissatisfied. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room is cleaned, but the room in the photos and real room are very different.

Nobody is on reception. All issues can be solved by phone conversation only.The internet is very bad. The Wi-Fi connection keeps breaking.

Geographic location was convenient for me

Everything else. Located next to a gas station, room smelled badly of smoke/ash tray despite it being non-smoking rooms, neighboring rooms made a lot of noise despite the room being marked as "quiet zone", but no one at the reception to enforce any of this. Reception didn't call back as promised after complaint. Completely unprofessional.

They have a staff name Jovan from india, He was very helpful and kind. Always bringing me new towels. Very deligent. Always cleaning rooms.

I attended a festival nearby and booked this hotel due to the nearby location. The staff at reception were friendly. The toilet and room were clean.

I booked a single room with ensuite shower for 130€ a night (travelled during the Euro Cup). Unfortunately my shower was not 'waterproof' and the whole floor was always wet. In addition, I always had the door handle in my hand when leaving my room and coming back. My request to get a slight discount for these problems was ignored. There is a sign outside saying single rooms from 69€. The location is also not ideal, I couldn't find restaurants in the nearby area. I would not stay here again, should I join the festival next time, I will take another hotel further away.

the bed was very comfortable and the room looked like it was really new. The man at the reception was very friendly and showed us everything.

the tap in the bathroom was a little stuck so when we tried to get some water out, it would burst out.the walls are really thin so you can hear almost everything your neighbor is saying/doing

Pictures in the internet are not of the hotel or not recent. The "room" was a cell. See picutures. Loud music from the gas station next door from 11 pm to 3 am. No reception. Key box with code. No breakfast. Its worth about 45 Euros a night- Max!!!

The staff was very kind helping me with my bike bags and getting the „right“ room, away from the busy street. I was allowed to keep my e-bike in the reception area, to even lock it to the iron fence. The telephon service was very effective and fast.

The foto above did not even come close to the room I finally choose as per my requirement when the booking was made. When talking to others I call the room a „cell“, rather small.

Exactly what I paid for, also there are gas stations nearby where you can grab a quick bite all day

It's a bit far from the city, but again, the price reflects that.

Location is okay. Price is not so bad for an otherwise expensive place like Hamburg. Quite easily accessible from the train.

All other reviews are true. The heating doesn't work, rooms are tiny, there was no hair dryer in the room unlike mentioned.
