Alster-Hof

Breakfast, room and location were good for my stay in Hamburg.

Mixing up of my bills. It required a lot of reconciliation before I signed out of the place.

I liked the location and the hotel ancient style.

The breakfast was poor. The facility in the room is not up to standard.

The location and the super friendly staff, especially the breakfast staff, were excellent.

For the breakfast they only offer black coffee and tea for hot drink. There were no plan drink. There no car park.

Wonderful staff, excellent location, quiet room and fabulous breakfast.

Bed was a bit too hard for me and an electric kettle would be a nice addition to the room.

It’s central location, clean facilities and helpful staff

Nice comfy room, powerful shower. Breakfast was lovely.

No kettle in room

Location

It is clearly dated. The breakfast was very basic, coffee was from a pot...Bed could be more comfortable

Value for money at time of booking (Friday night-mid October €100)

Trying to sleep in but housekeeping was busy outside. My window was overlooking a busy road too so keep that in mind.

The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent

The matriarch on the front desk had all the charm of a hammer.

Well located and relatively close to parkrun venue. Nice breakfast included in the price and late check out time of 12pm.

No shower gel in the bathroom and a strange frosted door to bathroom.

All bad experience

I had a terrible stay at this hotel. The room was extremely dirty, and I started itching all over after lying in the bed. The mattress was so uncomfortable, and to make things worse, the hotel is right next to a busy main road, so it was incredibly noisy all night. I barely got any sleep. Definitely would not recommend.

The location is a highlight—it's close to the metro, within walking distance of the city center, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés, which made getting around and dining out convenient.

The room itself was disappointing. The furniture was outdated and not well-maintained, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. In some areas, it even felt dirty. The hotel is situated on a very busy street, and is noisy, at least in rooms facing the road. Additionally, the walls were quite thin, so I could hear noise from neighboring rooms

Very clean with fresh white sheets. Perfect location near the city center

No room service at night

The location was excellent close to the lake, shopping centre's and restaurants. There was a good breakfast buffet spread. The cleaning staff were really helpful and friendly and assisted us to make our stay better.

The bed was really old and uncomfortable.

Very well situated, nice room with streetview.

Drain of the shower needs cleaning, water all over the place…

friendly staff, great location

the breakfast area is currently being renovated, and I expect the new one will be an improvement over the current status. As it is, it was rather stuffy. A little Durchzug would have helped.

Great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, amazing location.

My room, though lovely, was a little loud (street noise) early in the AM, but I think it was noisy because of the location of the room, maybe not generally a hotel issue.
