Pros +
- It had old fashion charm. They even used actually keys. Once on the train, which is a few blocks away was 20 minutes from Hamburg Central Station
- The room was clean and comfortable. It included a small fridge for keeping beverages cool and an electric kettle with complimentary tea provided by the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the furniture appeared to be quite new. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, though the shower cabin was a bit small and the showerhead slightly worn.
- Located in the charming Altstadt (old town) of Harburg, it is very easy to reach Hamburg with S-Bahn in about 20 minutes. The room was confortable and had everything we needed for our short (1 night) stay
Cons -
- On the fourth floor with no elevator
- The location was fine for me, as I used to live not far from the hotel. However, I did feel a bit uneasy about how the area has declined recently, especially when arriving by train. It’s not dangerous by any means, but it has become somewhat run-down, with several empty shops and a few homeless people around. Of course, this is beyond the hotel’s control, and the hotel itself remains excellent. Still, I think future guests should be aware of this in advance so they’re not taken by surprise.
- The lack of an elevator could be an issue for some people

Great location, close to metro station for easy transport into Hamburg. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff was amazing and helpful at ever turn. Parking was easy onsite. Bit tight but nice. Felt secure with the loaction
Access to my office and Harburg downtown
No Lift in this hotel
The table beside the bed was full of dust on the surface, it is clear that they didn't clean it long time back. Also there was a spider hanging from the ceiling above the bed.The location is a bit noisy even during night due to the near rail ways (cargo rail ways)
Very charming and centrally located. Parking at the property
If you are on the third floor; you get some great exercise! But reception will carry your bags up which is nice
The quaint old school type room gave a nostalgic vibe and a pleasant stay.
No express checkout system and the room tariff was collected while checking out and not during check-in, and that's why express check out was a difficult possibility. Although, after requesting them they did still take the tariff fee 1 day prior to check out and showed us where we could drop the key so we didn't lose out on much time during check out.
Excellent choice if you travel for the fair - 30min far away by S-Bahn, but moderate price, quiet surroundings, clean room and comfy bed.
not available
I've asked them 3 weeks after my trip if they could give me an invoice (which they did immediately) and they also send me my hot water bottle that I had forgotten there! They were also very sweet on the phone :)
breakfast, cleanliness, friendly staff, not far from an s-bahn station.
train tracks are very close, and freight trains are quite noisy at night.
We booked while driving on the road and arrived late due to autoban-traffic, and they had a good late-arrival system with a key-safety-box etc.
1. The room we got was towards the inner parking on street level; dusty, noisy and felt insecure for a family with a small child.2. There was a very strong perfume smell inside the "corridor" of the room. This corridor could not be closed off as it was part of the room. We had to keep the windows open all night to let out some of the smell but got head-aches in the morning anyway. 3. We had paid for "breakfast" but didn't know it was in a former car-rental shop. 4. They were rebuilding their reception and very messy atmosphere with no reduction in room-price.Should not be used as holiday place and also very overpriced for their standard and service.
breakfast
noisy location, no air conditioning, way too expensive
very central in Harburg although a bit annoying to get to Hamburg since there was a construction on the S-Bahn line. That said, not the hotel’s fault. Rooms are nice and adequate
price was a bit high but I think that was due to an event going on in Hamburg over the weekend.
Cleanliness, tea/coffee in the room.
Parking needs to be reserved upfront, this could have been specified in the description.
breakfast is good, room is clean.
small bed.
The staff were excellent, the breakfast was basic but more than adequate. Will stay again.
The main road and trains can be a bit noisy but the double glazing works well and air conditioning is provided
Cosy, small and clean hotel very close to restaurants and with good connections (bus, S-Bahn). Comfortable beds, fridge in the room, quiet, friendly staff and superb breakfast. Good parking in the courtyard.
All good.
Very clean, friendly, independent hotel. Very good breakfast. Close to S bahn link to Hamburg centre.
Close to noisy road and freight train line.
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. An easy 5-minute walk from the S-bahn station "Harburg Rathaus", which took us into the center of Hamburg within 25 minutes. Rooms were small but adequate for our needs. We stayed there for four nights.
The hotel is right next to a busy highway, so we had to keep the windows closed at night. The windows blocked out the sound very well. The price seems high for the size of the rooms, but it was still substantially cheaper than other options for Hamburg.
