Location and general things on hotel

Found out after getting to room that their is no air conditioning in this hotel. I slept in sweat and for a short amount of the night. Very disappointed

Clean, warm and quiet hotel, furnished in the style of an English home, with a lot of attention to the small details that make the stay pleasant and memorable. Very comfortable bed. The reception staff were extremely kind, they offered us an umbrella in the rainy weather. The breakfast, in a cozy little restaurant, was excellent.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I simply loved the English-inspired décor. There's a common room where you can have a nice coffee or tea to the sound of classical music, a real treat. Breakfast is good. Room was comfortable, and the people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Location is also very practical: you can either walk or take the bus to the harbor or any other attraction in the wonderful city of Hamburg. Highly recommend.

Bathroom was small, but nothing serious.

Nice, clean room. Easy access from the airport, very close to the metro and train station. It’s a bit away from the city’s touristy districts.

Lovely old style hotel nice bathroom with a window that opened wide to a quiet area - Radiator heating easy to pop on and off - Central location to walk all directions of the city

turn right on leaving the hotel very visible drug problem in the area which was a little scary on arrival but area effected is small and you quickly pass through or go left and less visible

Not as clean as I'd like. Some of the streets around the hotel aren't pleasant so I actively avoided walking them. Shower water would sometimes randomly change temperature for brief periods.

Furniture and the Interior Style of Hotel. I also liked the Breakfast. Eggs with Vegetables was really nice and the bread also. The workers are very nice. The coffee room downstairs is perfect.

Room room at the second floor. The walk up was a bit hard. No aufzug. But that comes with the style of the hotel.

Somewhat disturbing location with sex establishments and drug attics in the streets nearby.

I liked the style, hotel has some good vibes and authentic inferior overall which i enjoyed more than staying at modern kind of apartments

Idk if there was any, but I'd loved if i had any smoking aeea since i had to leave hotel anytime I'd have to smoke the cigarette

The property was excellent and the staff were fantastic. The room was good bed was really comfortable.

Hotel City House was a lovely hotel with all the amenities you need and excellent space for your luggage and clothing. The building was charming and the staff were great. Beautiful shared lounge room! It was within good walking distance to many sights, landmarks and nice stores.

This is no fault of the hotel - but the area is quite rough.

The hotel was in a very accessible location from the train station but you'll have to be prepared to walk through very bustling streets. The hotel itself was cute and quaint and provided access to a lounge for free tea and coffee.

The lack of air-conditioning was a bit uncomfortable on warmer nights. With the hotel draped in wallpaper and carpets, it could get quite stuffy and the only way we could ventilate the room was to open the windows fully which opened to the parking bay and felt precarious.

The staff were very friendly, the room was nice and the interior of the hotel is charming. They even have a living room were you could socialize with other guest, The breakfast was also nice. It is only a short walk from the railway station and there were a lot of inexpensive restaurants nearby.

As so many others already have written, the surrounding area isn't very nice. It didn't feel unsafe as long as the shops were open but the sight of so many poor and desperate people were a bit depressing.

Beautifully quiet inside and decorated in a quirky manner

The outer location wasn’t very safe in the evening form drug addicts everywhere but that’s not the hotels fault and once inside it was faultless.

No lift but we let them know and they gave us a room on first floorU fortunate for the hotel the local area is not the best, but that is not the fault of the hotel, care and diligence that you should be observing anyway will ensure all is good, once inside the hotel it is like another safe world
