Hotel Hagemann Hamburg Hafen

You pay for what you get. I needed a cheep Hotel in Wilhelmsburg-Hamburg in that context was this perfect located. With private parking.

Everything was very great, we arrived early around 10:00, and they gave us a room even though check-in was from 15:00, the room was very clean, warm and had a lot of space, the breakfast was very tasty and had a good selection.

Bus stop outside . Pizza resteraunt on site .

Cleaner went in room even though do not disturb sign was displayed .The room safe didnt work . The instrutions were for another safe and when we asked the staff for help , the guy said no idea . The area is a long way from the center of Hamburg and a very dimmly lit and unsafe area where my wife would not have gone out after dark .

Room was nicely sized, clean enough

Everything else. Staff was unfriendly, especially indirectly kicking us our of breakfast in a very condescending tone at 9:59, as I was just finishing up my coffee. Breakfast was very lackluster and not tasty. Canned fruits, little choices and all was kinda old. For 30 euro that was quite a shocker. The room was very much nit kindly greeted with age. Old shower cabinet of plastic, old toilet and lights. Tv was so outdated, you could not stream at all. Also some furniture was missing handles. And it was very dark in the room as the ceiling had little lights.And the area felt unsafe, especially qs a woman.Never again.

Nothing appealed to me once I was checked in.

Staff made no effort to be helpful as our arrival was earlier in the day. We had to leave the hotel and find somewhere else to wait for just over five hours after a long flight. No lounge area for guests to sit down. Could not get an extra pillow, was told to come back to reception after 2 and half hours which would have been after 9pm. We were already tired and just needed to get some sleep. Just poor service.

Room was nice and clean. A lot of space, comfortable duvet and pillows

In the front desk it was a young employed , guy, that has struggle to read a passport and to speak English . For this business I believe this is relay important . Breakfast was poor

No fridge, no microwave. Very small room. Poor air ventilation. Building feels old. Location not the best.

Very spacious, clean and comfy family room.

They closed the restaurant half an hour before the schedule. Honestly speaking, we didn't book the table there but had an idea just to come and dine. That didn't work. The area has a lot of places to eat in the evening - one can definitely find burger/durum/kebab nearby.

The parking was pretty limited at the hotel. Street parking was hard to find but it was safe.

The room itself was quiet with the windows closed.

The location is not in a very good part of town, and the closest parking was on the street approximately a quarter mile away from the hotel. The sheets had a few holes in them, and the street noise didn't allow you to leave the windows open. The location of our room did not allow it to have usable WiFi.

Clean, food breakfast, comfy bed, good value for money

Nothing really. If I come back to Hamburg I will most likely stay at the same place despite it being a little outside of the center.

Rooms were clean and a good size.Breakfast ok. Sine nice restaurants nearby.

External appearance could be off putting. Some distance from centre.

This part of the town doesn't feel very safe.

Price - value for my dollar. Good breakfast. Restaurant in lobby is convenient but limited menu (pizza/pasta) . Clean with renovations. Comfortable beds. Close to S3 subway line which brings you directly into town. Courteous desk and hard working restaurant staff. Served our needs.

We didn’t mind the hotel at all. But people should know. It is a working man’s neighbourhood that appeared run down at first. Streets are not clean. Exterior of building is covered in graffiti. But I felt safe. People in neighbourhood are friendly common folk. Mostly immigrants and very nice.

Bad experience

They were sending me fake link skam after I paid through Klarna until this morning they wanted me to register my bank card number

Breakfast was really good. It would have been better if they had more salads and other options for vegetarians. Yogurts were really good.

Small room but had everything I needed. Close to bus route. Good breakfast.

The room smelled of smoke with the window closed. Was often noisy outside from vehicles and people having loud conversations or on the phone.

Not in the centre of the city, however you can reach it by Veddel train station and then bus 13 - which stops right outside.It is in an area that might not appeal at first when you arrive, the area has a lot of graffiti. However once you go around the back and enter the hotel it is a different story, warm and snug with a good restaurant. Two supermarkets nearby and plenty of restaurants. It is possible to walk into town along the levee bank but easier to go by bus 13 and train, especially with luggage. We enjoyed our stay there, especially helpful Tony in the restaurant.The room was spacious and clean.The only downside is that the smokers stand right outside the main entrance, so you have to take a deep breath, walk through the fug of smoke and enter the hotel. If they could move the smoking area further away (eg 1 km) that would be better.
