Pionier Hotel Hamburg Wandsbek Self Check-in

Poor

The whole building had no heat, already some of the guests try to complain but no one was at reception. In winted days in this cold with no heat you need to sleep with clothes on, yeah and thats what i did and next step is to go in hospital.

Sadly, the hotel installations were not optimal and the Reception was not available for our staying there.

Increadly disappointing experience in Hamburg. The heater was not working and the room services were terrible. Not even the Booking Genius compensates the bad experience there. We have to ask for covers and a Hairdresser to heat the bed - not recommended at all!

Staff, price , parking place, quite location.

It was very cold and i can fell the wind thru the windows (even they was closed), the bathroom was not properly clean, the room was smelly bad.

The cleanliness of the room was absolutely not acceptable.As soon as I opened the door, there was a very unpleasant, damp smell.The room didn’t even have a single window for proper ventilation.There was no free Wi-Fi available, which makes the information advertised online misleading.I didn’t see any staff or responsible person during my stay.The noise level was very high, and both the bathroom and toilet were poorly cleaned.I had selected a queen-size bed when booking, but upon arrival I found two single beds instead.Overall, it was definitely not worth €52 per night, and I would not recommend this place.The bed sheets were not clean either.This was the last time I stayed here.Additionally, a family seemed to be living there, and the strong smell of food throughout the building was very unpleasant for me.

Good price, good location, but...

Toilet in room 107 was unusable and smelled terrible.

We appreciated the clean rooms, the location was excellent—very central and close to everything. The private parking (which we paid €36 for 3days was also a big plus, as it was safe and convenient.

However, there were some things that made our experience less comfortable. When we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 AM (with small children), we were very tired after traveling from another country. I called the hotel, but the person who answered said we could not check in until 14:30. This was disappointing, especially because we had small kids with us and had to wait outside for hours. Around 14:00, another staff member told us that the room was actually ready, so we were allowed to check in a bit earlier.Another issue was that there was a glass in the room, but no drinking water. Water isn’t expensive, but since we came from another country, it would have been nice to have at least a small bottle available in the room or information on where to buy it nearby.In one of the rooms, the toilet seat was not in good condition, which was also a bit uncomfortable.It would also be helpful if a microwave was available for guests. I didn’t see one in the room, and maybe there was one in a common area, but I wasn’t sure, and no one informed us about it.

People running around whole night, loud, smoking outside and in windows.It was so bad i needed to leave already after some hours.Was signs saying silence from 22:00 but no one did care.

The room was fine, spacious enough for the price. I had big windows to open/close to regulate the temperature. The bed was comfortable & towels were supplied. Good bus connection to the local metro train stations or if you fancy some exercise it is about a 20 minute walk. Nothing surprising, it was a basic place to stay, there are no fancy add ons, you're paying for a basic room.

The bathroom I had was fine but needs modernising & a good clean. There's no café, so there's no food service to avail of. Just be mindful that the reception has limited hours if you need assistance or need to check in late.

I booked a room for two people and my family booked a room for 4 people. When we came to the hotel to check in, the hotel was closed. We tried many times to contact the hotel management, but no one responded. The next day we came in the afternoon to check in for my family because they had booked two days at the hotel, but no one from the hotel management was present. I do not advise anyone to try the hotel. It is very bad.

Avoid this place as much as you can!!!

They screwed me with the booking offering me instead some hotel with bed bugs located 20 kilometres from the centre of the city. They don't know how to message you through Booking, so if something goes wrong with your phone, you'll know about it when you arrive at the hotel (or not, because there's not always someone at the front desk).

Very bad

HeiWater started coming down from the ceiling.I didn't find anyone in the information room.We can’t sleep because of water.Resepsjon don’t answer, we called them so much and nobody answered.

It was the only hotel available in Hamburg so I didn't have a lot of options

Well, it was not really a hotel you would stay in through choice, as my other booking was not recognised this was the only hotel I could find

The standard is quite OK.

No parking. It costs 6€ extra.Book for one queen bed, but I became twins.This is the second time, I have this kind of treatment.

No place for breakfast when I asked, and it's only dining area.

I have been charge nearly £70 extra the night l arrived at the property on top of the booking I have made online and paid.
