Dona Filipa Hotel

I had a room that was not in the best shape. It was my anniversary and they gave me separate beds. So I talked to the front desk and the gave me an upgrade. The new room was very beautiful and I appreciate the staff for making and issue and helping me out

The air conditioning i. our bedroom was very poor so we were uncomfortable.

The decking around the pool needs fixing

Breakfast was delicious with so many choices including sparkling wine if you wished. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean

Lovely pool bar area, amazing location Beach was lovely too. Breakfast good and gave us late check out. All good - will definitely come again

Stayed here many times. It’s a fantastic property in a great location. Staff are always friendly and Breakfast is the best.I always stay in a premiumroom as they have been refurbished.

Looks tired from the outside but that shouldn’t put anyone off visiting.

Clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Suite room was beautiful. Melanie from guest service was great, very friendly and welcoming.

Restaurant food was very poor for a 5 star hotel. Room service food the same. A hotel of this category could do much better. Suite room had a spacious balcony yet it was facing a children’s theme park opposite the hotel where loud music was playing from 11am. If you’re looking for a quiet spot this might be an issue. Vila de Lobo is a residential area. Amazing houses and manicured roads. However not much to do at night time and not the place to be if you want to have a real taste of Portugal.

Good location next to the beach. Room v nice but noisy at night as it was located above the outdoor s of the bat

Dining room a little out of the way & also access to the pool was through the dining room Reception staff were not v welcoming or friendly.

Breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel location is excellent but it is getting a little tired with dated decor and old rooms but it’s still a treat to stay there

Tired decor

Location is the key at the Dona Filipa. Connection to San Lorenzo GC and Pineros Altos is attractive

It’s got a bit tired and needs to have some refurbishment. They have done some rooms a few years ago but need to do all of the rooms. The gardens need be better kept and the tennis courts aswell. The owners also need to replace the club house at San Lorenzo. It had adore 2 yrs ago and nothing has happened to replace it yet. The owners need to invest more money in the up keep of their 2 golf courses .

Location, staff, enjoyed the suite , spaces and lots of packing room and beautiful bathroom .

More of view of the sea. Aspects of the hotel . like the outside and some of the other areas of the hotel that have not been redecorated need to be. It's in a prime location and can really do with additional investment. It has such potential and the staff were really great.

Nothing it was perfect

Excellent breakfast and super location very close to the beach. Love the traditional style of the hotel.

We were leaving at 5am and were not told until we were handing our keys in that morning that we could have had a packed breakfast to take with us.

Great hotel in a very nice area.Beach within walking distance with a demarcated area for hotel guests. Restaurants and mini golf close by.Breakfasts were good. Spa was ok- expensive for the experience.Lovely pool area.Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Average but satisfactory

The property whilst in a great location was extremely tired. In particular the outside bar area. The inside bar was nearly always closed. Another hotel in the vicinity where we have stayed before was by far the better and represented better value for money.

Location and facilities were excellent. Not too busy and our room was very spacious with plenty of room for our 10 month old baby.

Key cards kept deactivating. Had to get them re activated at least 3-4 times per day.
