Hotel Novella Nantes Centre Gare

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of Nantes so everything is walkable.There was a guy at reception who was also at breakfast who was very friendly and helpful. The room was adequate for a one night stay but the bathroom was not great as the shower was broken. The attachment to hold the shower head to the wall was snapped, so you had to hold the shower head. Also the toilet was very high from the floor, feet did not touch the floor and you had to jump off it. Children would really struggle.

Location and price. I was pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the railway station and to a number of well priced eateries.

It was clean, a very comfortable bed, a good shower. The staff seem very friendly.

Slightly stale smell in the room when I arrived.

Location was good because i had to take a train in the early morning the next day.

Smelled weird in the hallways and in the room. Had dust. The shower drain was clogged and it made a puddle, and all they had to do was remove the hair in the drainage (which is did and it grossed me out).

Close to the station & the town centre. Small to medium size room with a comfortable bed. Helpful staff. I have stayed here once before.

The room was rather basic, but with the essentials needed (linens, outlets, table+chair, hangers). Most importantly - the bed/mattress was comfortable, linens and towels very clean, and bathroom cleaned well. The room itself was showing its age. But I got my good night sleep, close to the train station, and that's what mattered! Super helpful host downstairs offered me a few croissants (those were tasty) and coffee, even thought I missed the end of the breakfast, as I was making some reservations online. The price was right, given a short walk from the Nantes train station. Very easy access in the afterhours, based on emailed instructions and code.

Rooms are dated. Not much view from my 2nd flr room - just the building across.

The street around is dodgy. It doesn't not inspire confidence to walk by, especially in the night. We heard a lot of shouting and fighting during the nightAlso we had the room facing the start and it was noisy, also smelling smoke as people were smoking under our window.

I arrived mid morning and was allowed to drop off my bag before going for a wander as check in was at 3pm. Nantes is a nice place.

The bathroom, the shower water went everywhere apart from down the drain hole, the toilet was not grounded and felt like it was about to come off the wall.

Was excellent value for accommodation and central to all amenities. Staff were very very helpful and friendly

The hot water in the shower was not great. After I brought this to the attention of the front desk there was not that much improvement with the hot water.

Friendliness of staff especially at breakfast . The lady was ever so understanding that I had to leave before the hotel opening breakfasts time . She however allowed me to serve myself and I left well fed !! That was very much appreciated before a long journey, that you !

Just missed the soap by the sink and the bottle dispenser in the shower wasn’t pumping right .. had to open it but that is a detail!
