The friendly and helpful staff. During our stay we ran into a couple of problems (unrelated to our hotel stay). And the staff was excellent at helping us find a solution.

The toilet tissue, I would prefer paper roll over individual tissues.

Freshly refurbished. Good soundproofing. Friendly staff. Great location. Parking in 2 minutes by foot.

It used to be an old style hotel before and not everything was changed (baths, doors etc.). It all works though.

Lack of Essential Guest Services and Unhelpful Staff ResponseDuring my stay at La Perouse, Nantes, I encountered significant challenges that travelers should be aware of. Firstly, the hotel does not provide access to a general-use telephone for local or international calls. The in-room phone is limited strictly to room service requests, which can be highly inconvenient for guests needing external assistance or emergency support.More concerning, however, was the response I received during a personal crisis. After my accounts were hacked, I found myself in urgent need of just 3 Euros to reach my educational institution, where emergency funds were available. Despite the visible presence of a cash drawer at the front desk, hotel staff declined to assist in any capacity. This refusal left me feeling unsupported and vulnerable in a moment of genuine need.For travelers considering a stay here, I recommend ensuring you have access to alternative means of communication and emergency funds, as the hotel's guest support in critical situations appears limited.

Location & breakfast was good, the room a little cozy. It did have a bath which was unexpected.

Terrific central location, close walking distance to bars and restaurants.The continental buffet style breakfast included was very good with lots of choice.

The nearest car park is a 4 minute walk away. It is an underground multi storey structure with very, very narrow access on entry, within and exit, so if you have a big car (or even a medium size one), beware! The car park was extremely difficult to locate and access, even though I have used it on two previous occasions. Access is along what looks like a ‘wrong’ one-way approach across pedstrianised cobbles - but once found, it is exceptionally very good value for money at just €3.60 for a 12 hour overnight stay!

Elevator was out of order when we arrived at the hotel, and it did not work for three days...

The room was quite small and dated. If we were staying there longer I would have asked for a larger room.

Comfy room and fab location with a lovely pleasant reception area homely and staffed with very helpful receptionists and very friendly. Nice cool fresh flavoured water available and a kettle for tea snd coffee which I thought was a great and generous idea.The price was very competitive. Location a 2 minute walk from the tram and so handy. I would reccomend this hotel without hesitation

Cant fault this hotel for the price I paid. I could be ultra fussy and say new carpet etc but really would not be fair.

Smelled bad in the corridor

There was a mix up with the twin room I initially requested and so the reception staff sorted us out with an extra room, free of charge, which was great as we ended up with a room each!Breakfast was OK, with a good mix of choices.The room and bathroom were clean and had a pleasant smell, the bed/pillows were comfortable and overall it was quiet overnight.

The halls in each floor had a smell that resembled the smell of a basement, probably from regular carpet cleaning in a closed environment. Nevertheless, the rooms smelled nice so it didn't bother us that much.

A good location right in the centre of Nantes, close to the main sights and the excellent tram system. Just what you would expect from an Ibis hotel. Clean, comfortable, no frills.

The Tv and one light were not working.
