    Pros +

    • Near the train station and downtown
    • The convenience to the station and the Cite des Cogres. The staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The food was good with a good selection for breakfast.
    • Comfortable and very near the shuttle bus to the airport. Restaurant was open on Sunday evening with good choice of Fishers

    Cons -

    • Small room
    • Our evening dinner was spoiled because staff seemed in chaos. A mistake was made in our order. We then received our choice of venison steak but we were not given a steak knife to cut it with. We would have asked for an appropriate knife but there seemed no-one to ask and we wanted to get on with eating our excellent meal. The staff were generally very helpful but there seemed to be no person taking overall charge and checking on the small details e.g. uniformity of table settings (no teaspoons or salt scoop), how guests new who to tell their room number to.
    • 4 very small pillows on the bed. Not good in a 4 star hôtel.

Very good breakfast, great shower, and clean room. Location is key for a short visit, within walking distance of major cultural, tourist, and shopping areas. Close to the train station, Le Lieu Unique, Chateau du Bretagne, and Nantes Cathedral. Many restaurant options are close to the hotel.

Price could be a bit more accessible, but it wasn't too far from other hotels around that cost more and offer less.

    Breakfast was good.

Location poor next to main railway station. Shower was blocked and kept overflowing . This was reported on 2 occasions and still nothing was done. Ran out of toilet paper as only 1 bit available. No privacy curtains so when the black out curtains were opened anyone could see in from the upper cafe in the Railway Station. Food appeared expensive in the restaurant with very little choice so ate out both nights.

    Clean and convenient location.

Restaurant was expensive and the food was poor. Not many choices on the menu.

The Receptionist who did our check in was bright, friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious with most appealing interior design. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

    Everything was good.

Very clean and great staff. Perfect location to go to airport very early in the morning.

Everything was perfect, but I would have like a more extensive room service offer (snacks in the menu for example)

The breakfast was good as was the dining . However the interior designer has spoilt the interior of the hotel the bedroom with its quirky set up the bathroom has a perpex wall , the toilet was accessed separately ! The bed was very uncomfortable. The designer should be sent to see how nice the interior of the Mercure at Exeter UK.

    The decor and the bed.

Very comfortable with great access to the Nantes Train station. Easy check in and out with a very good restaurant.

It meet our needs very well.

Room and facilities lovely comfy beds

Felt there was a lack of clear information about breakfast times and we missed out on our last morning and there was nothing left.

This Hotel is adjoining the station hence the reason we booked it. We stayed for two nights so we could leave our bikes and drive the car to Chateaulin before returning to the hotel ready to set out the next day on a weeks cycle trip along the Nantes Brest Canal. The breakfast offering was good both days when you had found the various serving points. We used this hotel as it has secure parking and we were able to store our bikes safely.

We had dinner here the first night and chose to move ourselves to another table away from the unpleasantly drafty outer doors. These doors would open as the staff passed across them every few seconds spoiling what could have been a nice meal. We chose to eat out the next night to avoid a repeat.

    Location

Would have liked an English translation of the restaurant menu , in italics underneath? And could you please put the allergen numbers on the menu, the staff hadn’t a clue about gluten free! Also , there was no current wine menu and prices , the waiter had an iPad and he had a notion about any of the red wines!

    8Erich_from_viennaPosted on: 9-28-2025

It is very close to the main station. I had an early train, so it was perfect. And same time nicely located near the small marina.

Being near the station it is a bit noisy, but the windows were fine. Just be aware
