Hôtel Le Cambronne

Fantastic location. Very central. Can walk around to explore the city, while a minute from a tram line. Cost comfortable room, good value.

Reception is closed between 12 and 4, as stated on the description, so no way to even drop off a case until 4pm. You are asked to provide your arrival time but that doesn't make a difference. No air conditioning. Bathroom is very small. No elevator, as described.

Hotel owner was very nice, affordable, quiet, nice hotel in great location near the old city center. Breakfast was also wonderful! Initially, since I recently skip breakfast, I hadn't had it ordered, but the owner asked if I would like to have it and I'm so glad I changed my mind and took it. It was a wonderful breakfast at an affordable price. Really shows the great care and attention of the hotel owner.

Great location to walk to the old town and to the Machines des Iles. Easy access to parking garage. Very nice breakfast with plenty of options.

The breakfast was very delicious and affordable. The beds were extrememly comfortable. Very Clean and Quiet.The staff were fabulous.The location is excellent with bars and restaurants within 2-5 minute walk.Tram is 3 minute walk away.

There is no elevator/lift - so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. Was not a problem for us at all.

My room had a large openable window which looked out onto a beautiful tree and was very quiet and peaceful.

Hard to find anything wrong. It's a very very minor thing - the room was a little bit warm even with the window open, but it also was very humid in Nantes when I stayed. Maybe just a small fan would help. To be fair I did not ask for one so they may have been available from reception.

Delicious breakfast - fresh croissants, bread, yoghurt, fruit compote, chocolate spread, fresh coffee, egg and cheese for those who wished. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is central yet very quiet. The location is a 2 minute walk from the nearest tram stop and the main tourist attractions are within immediate reach. There are restaurants in the immediate vicinity for which I recommend you book in advance. The main shopping areas are also within a few minutes walk. The staff were friendly, very helpful and welcoming. There was a range of magazines/reading material located on the landing also.

The charge for breakfast (7.50 euro) is not included in the booking fee but this is clearly explained on the Booking.com website in advance. I would like to have seen some fresh fruit on two of the three mornings I had stayed there. The lamps are a little dim in the room so difficult to read but overall I cannot fault this property. I would highly recommend Hotel le Cambronne should you visit Nantes.

Location is 10/10. Walking distance to airport bus stop and the old town. Safe but lively neighbourhood. I arrived at night and it was self checkin. Very handy. Room is not big but ok for one person. Toilet and shower room clean and separate. Can leave my bag after checkout the next day.
