Pros +
- The desk staff was great.
- Nice staff . Room was nicely renovated
- Close to train and subway. Was very clean, safe, front desk people very friendly.Mr Hondos great coffee bar in the morning and the Balkana restaurant is behind the hotel on a small street, the best food. Don't be deterred by the homeless people, they keep to themselves. This a great hotel.
Cons -
- We were asked to change rooms during our stay.
- It didn’t reflect the hotels internet site, which I believe needs updating. It was around the corner from area with drugs and the homeless
- The property is indeed renovated, but there's a feel of neglect in the way the rooms are set up. The room felt a bit more like a rudimentarily equipped student dorm than a up to 70 euro per night facility. Although the room looked and felt clean, we have reasons to feel quite suspicious as to whether there is an actually thorough sanitation process going on -- suffice it to say that although we booked for three nights, we checked out after the first night, without even requesting a refund.

The staff is cordial hospitable, and ready to help. The location is very close to the city center and a metro station, the property is indeed renovated. We requested a double instead of twin bed and got it without hassle. The property has a cozy retro vibe going on.

Great locationFriendly staffClean room
The hotel is close to the centre and uses the services of the parking site right across the street. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the bathroom is small but well equipped - even has a hair dryer. The staff is friendly and polite, ready to answer any questions we had. This is one hotel we would like to stay in when we next come to Athens.
The surrounding streets are full of drug addicts and people you would not like to be near you. However, this is not the problem the hotel can solve, even though it tars its reputation. In any case, the stay there was an agreable experience.
for the price it's a very good deal. very simple, but clean, and the room was quite big. room was quiet to the back with absolutly no view. I guess you can have a view in the rooms to the street, but they will be noisy. very friendly staff. It's close to the subway and not far from Omonia.
I had a quite slow internet. it might be better in different floors or rooms.
The location is really good, the rooms are nice and clean
Noise from outside
It was old , loud but economical . For the $ amount
Close to metro system, so travel was easily accessible. Cute coffee bar close by, and good places to eat within walking distance.
Small shower with low water pressure.
Located very close to the metro station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. There are a few restaurants and cafes in the area too.
Internet reception was spotty.
Staff--friendly and helpful; facilities--clean; location--close to metro station; service--always with a amile
I did not like the small corner shower in our room,: water pressure was not strong enough to rinse my hair before the water collected and nearly went over...did not drain fast enough while showering.
A decent hotel, meeting all the expectations. The air conditioning functioned well and the staff was very welcoming.
Obviously the neighborhood, which is the main reason why I would not stay in any hotel around that area in the future.
The property was close to center city. The staff were nice and someone came to clean our room everyday. We came at 1pm and were able to check in right away which was nice and got a room with a big balcony without purchasing one, the balcony had a really good view:).
The property had us turn in our room key each time we left, not sure if this is normal for Greece/Athens. Up the street was also a poorer area with lots of unhoused people, there were people doing drugs and relieving themselves on the street (you can avoid this area by taking the metro instead of walking to the center city).
It has been tastefully done up in comparison with the past when it was ugly and the rooms small and claustrophobic. ! We particularly liked the bathroom which had elegant tiles and well functioning shower despite the silly curtain around it. We also liked the set of shampoo, soap and bath gel and very clean good quality towels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
We didn’t care for the slippery blankets and small sheets that tended to end up on the floor. Also, the beds were comfortable enough but a larger person might have difficulty fitting in. One problem was the noise of the traffic, at least in our room that looked on the main road. But the location was and advantage as it is close to a metro station and very centrally located.
Very clean, great staff and very near the subway.
The bathroom was not very wheelchair accessible.
it was small, cozy, and perfectly located to restaurants.
can’t really think of anything.
The guy on reception was very helpful and friendly, room was spacious
The area is pretty run down
Easy access to everything.
The old property was located in an area full of drug addicts next to the street (a lot) of cardboard sleeping bags. Unfortunately, we smelled a strong smell of cigarettes in our room, which I informed the hotel staff.
Poor
Would not recommend staying here as a solo female traveller. The area is not nice and although it was fine walking around in the day I wasn’t really comfortable leaving the hotel at night. Also there were people in the hotel playing loud music in the morning and talking loudly in the corridors at night time. I did not feel comfortable staying here unfortunately but the staff were very friendly.
