The location is central, but the area feels unsafe at night, we saw many people using drugs on the streets.The photos on Booking didn’t match reality. The room wasn’t clean: stained sheets and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all.It was very noisy at night — we couldn’t sleep because of constant footsteps and slamming doors.The elevator is extremely small and not suitable for people with claustrophobia.

DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

Dirty rooms and common area. Sketchy area. Bedbugs. Could not sleep because of loud speak and TV. No toilet in the room.

I love the neighbourhood, it gives a feeling of what Athens was like in ancient times (with different characteristics of course). I would call it the real Athens, not the fancy touristy souvenir-and selfie-obsessed bersion we see so much today.

I would have preferred twin beds, but not available.

Really like this place, and we travel a lot: very well priced, extremely well located a very short walk from Monastiraki, the very happening Psyrri Square area, and the Evripidou Street market area (don't miss the pavement restaurant "thstheatroutosteki" just around the corner, and "Sparkles" coffee shop). Our room on the third floor with a balcony was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, and the shared bathroom also spotless (the men's one anyway). The staff were all lovely, and we felt very secure - the streets outside are cosmopolitan with the smell of incense and fresh vegetable dealers - but none of this was in any way unsettling. It's a great spot in a rapidly changing area!

The room was clean, and the balcony, bed, and facilities inside the room were worth the money I spent. The cleaning staff was very responsive in maintaining the cleanliness, especially the shared bathroom and public facilities in the hotel.

The location surrounding the hotel might be a consideration, although the hotel location is quite close to Omonia Square, Psiri, Monisteriaki Station, where you can hop on/off to the Airport. So, it's relatively OK

Staff at the reception was very friendly . Location in between of a China town and Muslim area. But only 10 minutes walk to a nice tourists streets with a bars and restaurants.

I got bitten by a bed bugs. All over my body. It was room 56. Room also need some fresh paint.

Location and price, only because of that I was able to take so long stay, recommend if you a city life, if you want to stay in rook whole day - choose something different, and remwmbert take rook with bathroom, price hhufger 2 euro but it's worth it

Low price, low quality, this hotel was not refresh for many years, nothing special, remember about this, for my traveling it's fine, my rate is just regarding other bookings. But as I said this price and quality allow me to take so long travel and enjoy Athena

I could say the only good things were the elevator and the sink in the bedroom. All the rest was horrible.

The building is extremely old and nothing like the pictures! My first problem was that I booked a double bed and got a room with 3 single beds. Which for a single person and how the hotel looked like felt very creepy. I almost started crying when I sat myself down on the first mattress. It felt like nothing. The same with the second. Just one mattress out of three was “okay”. Also, the drain in the bathroom wasn’t working properly, which meant the water would sum up while I was showering and that’s completely disgusting. The space to shower is very small, with no windows and barely space to move. Also the location was awful. Didn’t feel secure as a woman traveling alone.

Certainly I would not recommend this hotel to no one. Good location as its close to everything but the town is horrible. With buggs in the bed, and photos did not represent at all the hotel. Hopefully was just for one night for us, but still almost changed to a new one.

It’s nice, exactly what I needed. I arrive at 12 sleep till next morning and spend the whole day in athens. Also the metro station is near, around 10 minutes walking and it’s the cheapest we can find especially in August

The room was too small, barely had a space for 2 suitcases in it. The bathroom also a bit small but manageable. Again, we wanted something cheap but clean and not a hostel and we got it, it was cheaper than a hostel for 2 people.

I booked the room and informed the hotel that I will be arriving in the morning, they nevertheless cancelled my reservation and made me to pay again for the larger room when I arrived. Later they refused to refund my first booking, so I paid twice for one stay and was not refunded. The room was awful, the air conditioner did not work, so we had to open the windows in the +36C heat, and there were some construction works nearby so there was no chance we could sleep.

Great staff, But bed-Bugs and construction sight - not a good way to start a vacation

The mattress had bed-bugs in it that made our next days a living hell! This mattress should be burned. This was 3 weeks ago and the bite-marks are still visible. The itching was terrible. We took medicines and creams to fight the reaction and the itching. Skin blisters about 1" diameter, red, pointy, and just not fun to start a vacation like this. Also, there is some kind of a construction project in the building, so noise starts pretty early in the morning. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable, always happy to help!

Bad smell on the toilet. A person in same room told me that he saw insekt bet him when he wake up. Outside hotel I saw cockroach. Terrible. No toilet, No bathroom in the room.

This property in heart of old downtown area there is nice restaurants n groceries stores n wholesalers there too

Has all things are good n clean but did not control bed bugs there is lot of them I stay there few hrs but bites me all over even bed sheet was clean dont know how they came bite me was itching for 3/4 days

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, as were the shared toilets and shower. Cleaning was done on a very regular basis which is not always the case in budget hotels.

My stay was ruined due to the awful internet situation. I messaged in advance advising that I was a digital nomad and needed really good internet to work online. Instead of being honest and telling me it was slow and intermittent at best, they assured me the internet was very good. It wasn't! And I lost money as a result of the poor quality and regular reboots. This was the only negative aspect of my stay.
