The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and was very easy to navigate around the city. It was clean and pretty neat.

The only thing that I did not like was the shared bathroom and shower situation. You share a bathroom and shower with the entire floor (five or so rooms)- but the other guest were very respectful about it, I only ran into someone else once.

Very affordable. Very basic, no-frills, but comfortable, cheap lodgings in a spot just 5 minute walk from central Athens.

I have been staying at Artemision for many year's, the staff is wonderful and the location is perfect. It is not a five star hotel but it is great when you are on a budget.

The property has old furniture from the 70s, which is wobbly, with dirty blankets, windows that haven’t been cleaned in 5 years, broken blinds, a sink held together with tape, stained floors, and dust in the closets. The mattress and pillows are also stained. It’s sad that such hotels are

Bad was a bit hard

Bad experience I found a bedbug the next day and it bit me and I informed the reception at 3 am that day. They told me that we could change the room, but I couldn’t move all my stuff at 3 am and I couldn’t imagine that I would wake up the next day to a disaster. I slept and woke up with more bites on my body and I called the reception to get me medicine. he told me to go to the hospital and the hotel wouldn’t payment anything because it has a bigger problem than mine. It will bring the company to clean the room from the bedbug and it doesn’t matter who I am or my body that is all bitten by the bedbug. I went to the hospital and the whole day was wasted there. I came back late for check out and he told me that I would have to leave the room in half an hour. I told him not to leave the room until I arrive at the airport. Bad experience and they won’t deal with my problem properly. I don’t advise anyone to visit this place.

The property was close to the Archipolis and the metro station. The price is suitable for a day stay.

The floor and the sink were not clean. But what can you expect from a budget hotel.

The hotel is centrally located, just 2 minutes walk from Omonia square and metro (subway) station (connections available also to/from airport) and 20 metres from the closest bus/trolleybus stop. It's also 3 bus stops (or 700 metres walk) away from the arrival/departure station (KTEL Pedion Areos) which serves both domestic and international bus lines. Artemision is a good place for short stay (one or two nights) when you are travelling through Athens, offering the best price in the centre of city. Don't expect it to be too comfortable: rooms have sink with running water, but toilets and showers are in corridor (but they are never crowded). Also take into account that there is no A/C, but WiFi was OK (free of charge) and the personnel was super friendly, allowing early check-in and giving better room than I expected by my reservation. As it was one-night stay before travelling further, it was OK for me, and by my previous stays I knew what to expect. As a smoker I also appreciated that there is a balcony attached to each room. As the hotel is close to Omonia square, there are plenty of places to have a meal or takeaway food, and on the other side of square there is also a supermarket with good prices (it's closed on Sundays, but then you find many "minimarkets" around.

I can understand that it's difficult to invest in refurbishing while offering so good prices, but there are few things the hotel should take care of - for example, the cupboard in the room did not had knobs to open the door (you need to find a knife or similar); there was no single glass or even plastic cup in the room (although there was a TV), so when a guest needs to take medication, they need to go out and buy some single-use cups. What SHOULD be taken care immediately, is that on 6th floor none of toilets in corridor had possibility to lock them while you are in the cubicle - the locks were just broken and never replaced (I have been there before, on the same floor, and nothing has changed in a year). No big problem for me, but as both showers and toilets are "unisex" the hotel should invest few Euros to repair the locks on toilet and shower cubicle doors to make customers to feel safe and comfortable.

We arrived to a room without air conditioning, despite it being pictured when we booked the room. The room was below average, very unclean, and extremely hot. The shared bathroom was very uninviting and the doors did not latch shut. When we asked if we could have a room with air conditioning, the staff were helpful and we were upgraded at our own expense. The room was slightly better, however cleanliness was very average.

Its so near to all the tourist sites and the stuffs are incredibly nice and helpful. They are also not so strict when it comes to visitors and they operate 24 hours a day.

Maybe they could have made the room look much better specially in the balcony area. Some of the furnitures are too old already and the curtains are also August 158 28 India falling down.
