Location is perfect for visiting Athens and hotel staff are helpful. Complementary breakfast is also good.
The location was absolutely perfect, the free WiFi was nice and worked well, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
We realized upon arrival that some of the features which drew us in from the website are actually at a property down the street. They advertise a terrace upstairs for "brews" on the page with restaurants, but it is literally just a terrace, no facilities.
The hotel is rated as a three star but carries itself as a four star. Very nice accommodations and very helpful staff. Great location for a couple of days in Athens.
Internet was not as strong in the rooms and we needed to go to the lounge on the main floor to conduct business electronically.
Nice room. Clean with a view of the Acropolis.
Upon check in we were told that there was a mistake during our booking process and no rooms were actually available. The hotel proactively had already arranged for us to have a room at the Parthenon Hotel nearby and they paid for a taxi transfer.
Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff, especially the manager were very helpful--going beyond the call of duty to help us with luggage storage, finding the right bus, etc. The included Greek buffet breakfast was amazing. Close & in view of acropo
nothing at all
Great location, size of room
Saw a roach in the room- gross! They came up to kill it.
Location, location, location...
everyt!!!
Location is great. Staff professional. Decently large balcony. Reasonably affordable price.
Window curtains don't block all sunlight. Generic breakfast options. Coffee maker seemed limited, no creamer options, just milk. Provided bathroom towels do not include a small washcloth.
Fantastic locationFantastic staffThe Phillipos is located in a non touristy section of Koukaki with lovely little coffee/wine bars and great tavernas nearby. The hotel is very cozy with a very kind and caring staff.
I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet very convenient and close to the metro station, which made getting around the city very easy. The staff were absolutely wonderful — very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.A special thank you to Elias for his exceptional kindness and support. He truly went above and beyond to help with everything and made my stay even more comfortable. He is genuinely an amazing person. Many thanks to the entire lovely team explain—it was a pleasure staying here, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is well positioned within a walking distance from many attractions. It's a pleasant area without noise. I would rate cleanliness very highly.Good choice of fresh and tasty food for breakfast.Very kind and helpful staff!
The location and the staff. The rep made dinner reservations for us.The food was very good. Great recommendation.
The taxi that was called did not receive the correct information on where we were going and how many persons needing transportation. Our luggage barely fit in the trunk.
Above all, Philippos Hotel employs a very professional and capable concierge/office staff. They arranged travel arrangements for our party of 4 and an evening dinner where we enjoyed stunning views of the Parthenon. In addition to the staff, our room was well laid out and comfortable with a small refrigerator. Nice outdoor patio with a view of the Parthenon. Breakfast is included and it is extensive. Very well done. But most importantly, the hotel is located near the Acropolis and within easy walking distance to the neighborhoods of Athens. Nearby also are a local grocery store/mini mart, coffee shop, and bakery.
The beds are single beds pushed up to each other. We kept losing our stuff in the crack adjoining the beds. But hotel is well worth a few inconveniences.
The location was perfect. The neighborhood has everything. Easy walk to Plaka for shopping and dinner. The view from the rooftop is amazing! You can see the Parthenon (especially at night) The breakfast was so good. I couldn’t believe all the choices. So yummy! The staff was so accommodating and friendly.
You can hear everything in the hall and the next room.
