Cecil Hotel

Very typical Greek Breakfast each morning. Nice to help start the day. Bed was firm (how I like it). Bathroom was small, but again, typical for other hotels I stayed in Greece. Really well placed hotel and great for the price!No issue with bugs or other things people have mentioned. Also to the woman who was mad about the cleaner "slamming plates" Return it to the wash bin yourself. It's like 3 steps away by the sink. If you want a spoon fed 10* breakfast you may want to search elsewhere.

location was good, near Monastiraki square. breakfast was also nice, not many options, but normal. wifi works fine, room was very clean and cozy. facilities too old, but you feel like home and it doesn't matter too much. staff was perfect. ? from my very little "balcony" was seen Acropolis.it was very nice.

room was a little bit small. facilities too old and not modern. There was not a tooth brush/toothpaste and slippers in the room.

The location is very practical, very close to important spots.

The bed and room is very essential. Basic pillows and a blanket. It has everything you need but not extra details.

The location is absolutely perfect, right on the main street, but not too loud. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop was spectacular. The rooms are large, air conditioning worked very well and for an older building was very well kept.

The water pressure/availability could be non-existent at the wrong time of the day. Once or twice I was under the water for less than 2 or 3 minutes before it sputtered out to nothing or was completely cold.

Fabulous location! Quaint, older hotel. Bed was comfortable. Quiet enough for the heart of the city.

No hair dryer. Reading light could have been better.

Fantastic location, centrally located on a bustling and interesting street that leads to Monastiraki Square in 5 minutes. Very basic accomodations - recommended for those who care more about location. There's also a rooftop with a lovely view of the Acropolis, but it's not set up to sit and hang out.

It was basically clean, but I found a few long hairs in the bed and bathroom - there was also a faint musty smell. The sink stopper didn't work so I had to manually drain the water. The wifi mostly failed to connect. The entrance is open and easily accessed late at night, so security might be a concern for some. Breakfast is pretty uninspired with very few choices

Good value for the price. The location is exceptional. The staff was very friendly and I loved the look and architectural style of the hotel.

The room and bathroom was extremely small. Breakfast was lackluster, but then again, you get what you pay for and this wasn't important to me. I booked this hotel for the location.

The coffee cups from breakfast were not clean; I could wipe away the previous coffee residue with my fingers.

In the heart of Arhens' center, yet quiet at nights, no bars in front. Staff was very polite, let us leave our luggage after check out for a couple of hours. Not many options on breakfast but still okay. The elevator is noteworthy. Great place!

Everything you need is there. This is not a luxury hotel, but then you're in the heart of athens, spend very little ad a full breakfast is included. Love the wooden elevator too.

Great central location in Athens and it was a easy access to all main attractions as well as really close to a lot of restaurats and shops. Room was cleaned every day, friendly staff and the beds were comfy. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a walking holiday and you want easy access to Athens links.

The room is very basic and needs renovation.

This is a basic hotel. The room on second floor has an old fashioned charm with high ceiling and nice wooden furniture.The breakfast served is quite basic but sufficient for my needs, cheese and eggs were available.

The worst atroucious hard and lumpy worn-out mattress!The shower has no curtain- prepare to mop! The shower floor is very slippery and dangerous.
