Art Gallery Hotel Athens

The location is great. Near the Plaka district. Very calm and safe neighborhood. Th the Acropolis is just 15 minutes walk.The hotel is family run businesses and especially good for family holiday. Business has been running since 1983.I met accidentally a man at the entrance of the hotel and had very good conversation about how to discover Athens etc. He gave very useful advice. Turned out he was the hotel owner.Very satisfied with my stay.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Just a minor inconvenience if you could say that way. The shower was a bit small. But it is no way a deal breaker.

Great location, nice view of acropolis, nice staff, good price and a good breakfast option.

This lovely little hotel feels like a time capsule in a good way. The facilities are old, but clean and functional. I have not seen a little box TV in a long time! It has such a homey feel in a good area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The top level lounge/balcony is lovely and open 24/7.

It would be good to have a wall mounted shower head or rack to place the handheld shower head into.

Close walk to the Acropolis area. Good for one night stay in downtown Athens.

Hotel needs to be upgraded for plugs, shower area.

Excellent location. View of Acropolis from the top floor. A/C was working.

Room had no ensuite. Bathroom was across the corridor, past other rooms. The shower was just a handheld spray and there was no bath. There was no balcony. Room was small but ok. Only one chair. We asked for twin beds but were given a double bed. Very few facilities.

The property is perfect. However, please consider warm water everytime. We leave the hotel al 5:30 and the water was cold.

Ideally situated within a short walk to the City Centre & the Acropolis, also Metro Station nearby.Proprietors are very welcoming & helpful.

The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the historic city centre. The room was big and spacious, and in the bathroom the water pressure was good! everything was nice and clean.

I wish they had either a net door or a mosquito repellent device in the room, so that one could open the balcony doors without getting attacked by mosquitoes.

The hotel is in the city centre, shops, cafés and the Akropolis all in walking distance. The view from the balcony was fantastic - right to the Akropolis. Personell very kind and helpful

Nice older hotel with lots of charm and walking distance to Acropolis etc. lots of great dining options on the square 5 minutes walk away. Staff very helpful but 11 am checkout fiercely in effect so best to leave a bit early.

Even New York parking lots have a 3 minute grace period!

Quirky with friendly staff. Lovely cafes and restaurants near by.

The whole hotel is quite old and definitely needs some renovation.

An older hotel, fairly basic but clean and comfortable, with a fantastic location, only a 15 minute walk from the Acropolis and the Plaka district, with plenty of good, affordable restaurants nearby, in a vibey neighbourhood. The hotel has a small lift, which is a bonus, and a 4th floor balcony for guests which is a great spot to chill out after a busy day. Very helpful, friendly, welcoming staff.

The rooms are pretty dated and basic, but okay for the price and the location.

The two pluses are the location (very near the Pantheon - walking distance), and the staff very kind.

Other than that far too expensive for what it is. The establishment is old and would definitely need a refresh (while keeping the Vintage look if this is the theme). The overall cleanliness is to be reviewed, although the sheets and towels were totally clean, but this also has to do with the old age of the building.

Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness of the room. The Aircon was amazing, we were not prepared foe the humidity. Many food options near by we were spoilt for choice.

The shower didn't have a shower head. The road can get noisy as well as other guest coming in late at night.
