Novotel Athens Hotel

The rooftop is great. Very good food at the restaurant and bar. Staff is very helpful.

I was told that this zone is not safe at night. I took a taxi just in case. For me it was ok. No issues at all.

It was clean, the staff was helpful.

Location was average, needed transportation to city center.

The breakfast was plentiful but noisy and decent coffee was extra, but it was ok.The pool area was trendy, had some shade and a good view - obviously packed during the vacation periodthe entrance had Kinect the kids loved

LOCATION, Staff wasn't accommodating. I asked them to have a taxi there at 8am and they would not. The front desk insisted that I wait until I came back down to check out, even though I explained that I wanted to leave right away.

The room size excellent very large like a suite.

Transportation to town expensive only negative

The room is small, but everything is in there. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. The whole hotel is new and well designed.

The location is about 20 minutes walk from the center, but the neighborhood is not so safe by the feeling, especially, when you walk there in the evening....

Very nice room. Good bed, but did not sleep well for some reason. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The breakfast was decent at a cost of 15 euros per day. The cleaning room staff were nice and accommodating.

Our 9-night stay was extremely disappointing.– Poor English spoken at reception– Staff unhelpful– Pool and rooftop bar closed without noticeA/C didn’t work, we slept with the window open.Sofa bed mattress was stained (photos).Carpet and room were not clean and smelled old.Minibar was empty.No slippers, no bathrobe, no dental kit.TV not smart and hotel refused HDMI request.Unsafe area with visible drug activity outside.No staff at 2 AM and no ID check. Very unsafe and unsatisfactory.Not the level expected for the price (€1000) or a 4-star Accor hotel.

I liked the view! The view was gorgeous and the staff at the pool bar did well. The food we ordered from the pool bar was very good!

I didn’t like the bathroom and shower area in the room. The pool was a little small, which made it difficult to find a place to sit and relax. Also the breakfast was massive but poor. The fruit was sparse and some of the quality was very bad. The breakfast area was put together well so it was difficult to move about. The staff at breakfast were abrasive. We decided to skip the breakfast the second day and ate next door.

Very convenient location. A few stations by metro Ref line to Acropolis hill. Easy access from airport. 24 hours reception. Nice warm shower and bathroom.

I arrived around midnight because of lost baggage issue at the airport. I was very hungry but there was no room service at late night. But I found a nice kebab restaurant nearby which opened late.

The room is very small. There no one bell boy to bring the luggage up. We were 2 adult and 2 children no place to walk in the room.

The was too small. The bed was not comfortable. Not a Novotel standard quality

Parking. A very good parking garage, easily access, with plenty of parking space.The front office staff even let us to leave the car in the garage for a few more hours after checkout... they said no problem.Overall the front desk staff was polite and good.

Location. Location is not good, maybe around 10-12 minutes walking from the nearest metro station. So if you use metro, you lose around 30 minutes both ways. Not to talk about the terrible surrounding area, which of course is not fault of the hotel... however that can be accepted.CleaningWhat cannot be accepted is that within a 4 day (3 night) stay, our room was cleaned exactly 0 times.On day 2 of our stay a lady knocked on the door around 3 p.m and asked when to clean... I told her from 7 p.m. we are going out and the room will be empty. She completely understood and agreed to clean then... yet the room when we returned was not cleaned. I immediately gave a note to the front desk... they said to me sorry, tomorrow it will be cleaned. On day 3 from 11 a.m to 3 p.m we were out... when we returned, the room was again not cleaned. For the 2nd time I gave a note to the front desk when going out around 5 p.m... they said we will immediately send someone to clean. We returned late around 11-12... nothing, everything left as it was. I again noticed the front desk, they said sorry, short on staff, something like that. Quick after that a lady just came to bring new towels and to collect the garbage bins.So we arrived on the point that for the first time in my life a hotel room wasn't cleaned even once during the entire stay.Not good, the hotel needs to improve on that, it's a pity to make such easily avoidable mistakes.

The room was clean and comfortable - bed, sofa, even a desk to do some work on the computer. Very quiet location and comfortable bed, so we could rest well. The bathroom was well stocked and very clean. The shower was excellent.

The hotel is near the center of the city but not at the very center which makes it more difficult to find. It is 20 minutes walk to Monastiraki, for example. Still, this provides the opportunity to walk, to see different places and to rest as the area is quiet. Additionally, the hotel is 5 minutes walk to the train station from which we could take the 4.50 AM train to the airport - which was the only option for public transportation at that early hour.

The location was good, central to local amenities.

The customer service was below average. We spent 4 nights and the bottled water in the room was replenished only twice, leaving us asking for water from the restaurant. It’s poor service for a 4 star hotel.

Restaurant was nice. Staff was polite but wanted us to pay in cash as their POS terminal was not working. I said I dont have cash and they should take the terminal from the reception. Then suddenly the terminal was working and I paid by card. I am a hotelier with 38 years now in the industry, so I know what was happening.

Bathroom was terrible, my wife had a fall in the bathroom as she slipped on wet floor as the shower base was leaking. She had to be taken to get xray done. The Hotel arranged for it but no apology from anyone at the hotel, maybe to avoid liability but incorrecton a human level..

Only Breakfast is good . Room is renovated but carpet looks dirty
