Dioskouros Hostel

Exactly what you expect in a hostel. Old building in need of repairs but does the job. Nothing stands out good or bad really. No complaints.

I don't wish to disparage Hostel Dioskouros. The location is on the edge of the Plaka, but not easy to find or reach by car (our taxi had to make several loops around to finally get to the very narrow alleyway). When we arrived, it was late at night due to late flights (11:15 pm) and not an easy travel day. They left us a key to our room in a lock box. It was a very decent sized room and would have been an acceptable place to stay, had it not been for the bed. When I sat down on the side of the bed, it broke all the way to the floor and I wrenched my back. (The bed frame was made very cheaply of pressed board). We could not stay in that room, and sleep was imperative (We had been traveling for 24 hours at this point). I made contact with their person in charge, and due to the late hour and a group staying there, they did not have an alternate room to put us in, or anyone to come back to the hostel to deal with this. So, at 11:45 at night, we had to pay for another Uber to take us to a different hotel.

I checked in 6 hours early, and they gave me a room with a double bed even though I had booked a bed in a shared room.

The cleanness , the welcoming from the staff and the simplicity of the hostel as well as the good location for everything.

Great location, short walking distance to historic sites like the Acropolis! Includes a small garden, quiet and relaxing.Friendly staff!

It's rather basic, shared bathroom, sometimes noise from neighboring rooms can be heard. The breakfast buffet is also rather limited. Still a good choice for travelers who don't have high demands and value the location!

Our room had plumbing issues but the hosts were very accommodating & relocated us to a huge private 3 bedroom airbnb nearby & delivered us breakfast every morning. Would highly recommend even though we didn’t get to stay on site, the host is easy to reach and very nice!

The hostel is in a top location, close to all the tourist locations, bars, shops, and everything a solo traveler needs. The location is safe and very good. The hostel offers a nice and comfortable atmosphere, it is not too busy and the people are chill. I was in a room with 2 other women, and everything was fine.The breakfast is incredible.

There are not enough closets in the room and space to put things in the bathroom. There is no elevator.

The location is 10/10 super nice I recommend it also the zone is calm you can walk at night and feel secure

The staff were amazing and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice. The location is good. The room was clean and the bed was decent. Check in was easy.

Our room opened to the garden, where people were talking very loudly and smoking until very late hours so we couldn't have the windows open. Ask for help with the lockers so you don't lose 2 euro on accident. I don't think it was worth what we paid for the room considering that we were still basically in the dorm rooms since it was never quiet.

All great Sitting area for breakfast that is included in price is quiet and protected.

Perfect location, good breakfast, clean room

The bathroom is a bit inconvenient because there is no proper division between the bathrooms. The door to one bathroom is inside the other, so anyone using the innermost bathroom needs to walk through who is using the other bathroom.

The staff were very kind, and the location was great.

The room was in a bad position inside the hostel. It was humid and dark. Being a private room, should be better. The breakfast was exactly at our window, so from early we were awake bc the people came to eat and spoke super loud. (I imagine they didn’t know downstairs there were a room). For a night stay was ok, but really not more than this.

The location is perfect, everything is walking distance

Breakfast great , variety of choices.Mirror and sink in the room.

No rag or towel out of shower to catch splashes next to the toilet instead of leaving a paddle of water outside.
