The location is excellent; within walking distance to the hop on--hop off bus.

The hotel is in two separate buildings, and the layout is not well planned out. Our room looked like it was converted to a smaller room, and it was small, with a tiny bathroom. Breakfast was served in the other part of the hotel across the street.

Great location! Specially if you're taking public transportation, bus and metro stations are in a walking distance. Breakfast buffet was very good, I loved the "just squished " orange juice.

Loved it...close to everything..bed super comfy ..staff super friendly....great breakfast..FYI on other reviews..one of the better breakfast you'll get at breakfast included..I travel the world...there all the same..this is one of the better ones

Astikon House was the perfect spot for our stay in Athens. Super convenient to all the sites and charming Plaka area & very clean, stylish accommodation. The free breakfast was great (especially the woman running the breakfast who was delightful), and when our bags were delayed, the staff brought them right up to our room when they were delivered. Overall a great experience here!

The hotel itself is small & doesn’t have a lot of facilities aside from the nice breakfast area, but that was totally fine for what we were looking for.

A really nice, compact yet stylish hotel stay in central Athens next to the main shopping street yet still restful and quiet. Astikon offers a nice breakfast with additional menu options and all necessary services through the sister hotel across the street. Great location, good staff and reliable quality throughout.

We had the same room one month later and the small issues with the room we had mentioned to the staff earlier such as a continuously running toilet, erratic blinking LED lights and a toilet paper holder perilously close to falling off the wall had still not been addressed.

Bigger rooms only

The girl in the breakfast room is amazing, great attitude and always ready to help. Our first stay was in a pretty big and comfortable room, by the corner, and a high-level room.

There are some rooms pretty small (our second time at the same hotel). It is noisy at nights, but it didnt bother us at all (we are heavy sleepers).

This relatively new addition to the cool boutique hotel scene currently sweeping Athens is a welcome central city option with nice design touches, tremendous location (with double glazed windows for sound-proofing) and custom breakfast offerings.

Perhaps just early “toothing” problems that will eventually get fixed, there was trouble with flickering led ceiling spotlights, a dangling toilet paper holder about to drop off the wall and a toilet that often ran continuously… none of which really affected our stay but should receive attention.

Corners of the bed frames are dangerously sharp. Just contact produces an uncomfortable bruise or in my case broken skin and bleeding

The receptionist was available to us for help with a flight reservation. The breakfast hostess always had a smile on her face, and trled extremely hard to meet guests' needs and grant requests.

Central location. Could walk to most attractions-Acropolis, Plaka, Agora, etc. nice breakfast in morning. Small refrigerator in room.

Bathroom and space quite small. No places to hang or put clothes so had to live out of suitcase. Coat rod provided had only 4 hangers. Need 20!Air conditioning unit was quite noisy. Lights blinked a lot. Front entrance outside was a motorcycle parking area.

Location was right in the heart of the Syntagma area. Every restaurant, pharmacy, store and shop (H&M, Zara, and Under Armour are literally just a few steps away from hotel) surround this hotel. You can take the bus or metro and walk to this hotel in a few minutes. The hotel was very recently renovated in a contemporary style. The entrance is beautiful, the staircarse is also beautiful, and the terrace where breakfast is served is wonderful. Complimentary breakfast includes not just a standard buffet of cheese, bread, cereal, and fruit, but also a menu of heartly dishes to choose from. Upon entering the hotel's small lobby, one will immediately notice the renovation's attention to detail, absolute cleanliness, and most importantly, safety.

The bed frames need to be changed. I bumped into the sharp corner of the platform bed frame three times, causing three bruises on my shin. I reported this to management and they said "it happens" and "we can't change the frame" but as promised, brought two towels to cover both corners of the bed frame.

They checked me in a little early since I had not slept on plane. Breakfast was perfect and hostess very accommodating. The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything!

The price is paid on booking.com was more than price others had paid who held off paying. I could have saved a couple of hundred dollars if I had known. Also, there was no real lobby to relax when room companion was snoring.?
