The staff was extremely helpful and friendly

The room was much smaller that we expected, but we were only there for 1 night, so it was OK

Best (included) breakfast we had for our 3 week stay in Europe. Staff were helpful. Had a patio with our room so that was very nice. Quiet street on the edge of the plaka.

Not for large luggage as there is no elevator. We were on the 4th floor and had packs so was no problem.

The staff. They were always available and always helpful.

Loved the nostalgic feel and the family run care. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Bathroom is too small and narrow , no elevator which make it hard to climb the stairs especialy with bags and suitcases

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed — it truly felt like being at home with family. The staff are genuinely kind, caring, and always smiling, which made our stay extra special.The breakfast was very delicious, fresh, and prepared with so much care — a perfect start to every day. The location is perfect, close to everything and very convenient.

Nothing everything was perfect ?

Beds were very small and room was too small with no space even for movement of prayer. Very bad stairs with no elevators. Taking luggage upstairs by myself was a difficult and bad experience. Breakfast was okay and cooked as per usual practice.

Very small Bed room. Poor space and bad staircase. No staff for the luggage handling. Washroom very small and untidy.

The location is good. It is easy to get to any places and take an airport bus to the airport.

The breakfast is ok. It is the same everyday and you cannot choose the food.

Stayed one night there as a solo traveler. Great location, less than 5 minutes to Ermou Street and Syntagma square. Many cafes and restaurants are close. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. I especially liked the Greek breakfast with olives and fruits. Area was quiet despite being next to the very center. I can only recommend and will certainly pick it again.

You have to leave the key of the room at the reception when you go out, which since it's a family business wasn't attended all the time. Or so it seemed to me at least, since many keys where just lying on the reception desk. There are cameras though that cover the reception.

The location is great, Acropolis, Plaka and Styntagma square you can get there on foot

It is located close to the acropolis and the plaka , it’s easy to walk to the main square. Breakfast was good. For those who can’t climb stairs you might want to go somewhere else , but for a clean , inexpensive place to sleep that’s family run this is great

Great location, funky one of the oldest original hotels in Plaka dating back 1885 (hand painted wallpaper entry), friendly staff

This hotel was amazing! The staff is present and caring, extremely helpful and enjoyable. The hotel is in a perfect location, just steps away from car access if you need a taxi, but on the no-car marble streets of the beautiful old town area. This is an older hotel in all the good ways. You feel you are part of the local feel of old Athens, with marble staircase, old sitting rooms, and a view of the Acropolis from some of the rooms. The breakfast every morning was served by the family and was very pleasant. Loved our experience here.

Family run heritage hotel with quirky decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Basic but adequate breakfast. Hotel in perfect location in old town Syntagma. Close to Hadrian's Arch & Acropolos, restaurants, shops, metro & Parliament {changing of the guard} 20 mins walk to Monisteraki.

No lift to upper floors

Clean comfortable room - basic accommodations. The mini-split can blow on half the bed and which is nice if one person needs to be a little cooler.

Limited seating both in the room and outside of it. It’s good pretty basic accommodation. There’s no parking on site. It would be helpful if staff could give addresses of the parking sites nearby so one could find them via GPS - keeping in mind all the one way streets and such. That said, I found the staff brusque to the point of “unhelpfulness” to put it charitably. This may just be due to short staffing - IDK. I won’t stay there again.

Staff were all very kind and helpful. I enjoyed 4 nights here. I had two mornings where I left early and I was made a to go breakfast slightly varied each day as well. Plentiful breakfast as well when having it at the breakfast room. I would go back in a heart beat if in Athens again. The ac worked fabulously. I stayed in a double room in what I think is the older part of the house up a spiral staircase. I believe the room was 105. The bathroom was nice and separate from the room by an extra door. The room was spacious and had a fridge and closet with extra blankets. Housekeeping was helpful if I told them I needed another shampoo or if I wanted to rest in the room and didn’t really need the room cleaned every day. Brochures available in the lobby. You leave your key at the front desk every time you leave the house but this didn’t present a problem. I think you were to be back into the room by 10pm but this didn’t present a problem for me at all. Checking in late May present a problem I would reach out to the hotelPrior to booking if you will arrive after 10pm. Walkable to everything you want to see! I absolutely loved Athens except for the 90 degree temps and so I kinda hid in the room in the middle of the day and that worked quite well as it was a spacious room with great ac!

Welcomed by the very friendly owner and his grand-daughter. An old mansion with somehow a nice special atmosphere.... vintage, wooden floors and pictures of the whole family. It is very well situated in Plaka, in a quiet area, close to all restaurants, with Greek music, shops and good vibes.

Unfortunately there is no elevator in this beautiful house, but I could benefit of the help of the grandson of the owner, thank you !
