    Pros +

    • The front desk staff was excellent. We arrived much earlier than our check-in time but the front desk person let us into our room significantly earlier which helped tremendously. He made our needs the priority.
    • Excellent front desk services, will come back again .
    • A Perfect Place to stay while visiting Greece!

    Cons -

    • The room was extremely small. We were in a triple which was actually a double with a bed added vs. a real triple. It was so small that it was almost unrealistically difficult to move around or be comfortable.
    • They show a picture of the Acropolis, which is why I booked the hotel and you CANNOT see the Acropolis from the hotel. It also said there is an airport shuttle and I paid more for this hotel because I would save on the taxi fees, but there is NO SHUTTLE.
    • I am so happy we stayed at Hotel Katerina! The location was perfect and the people that work there are very kind. This hotel is very unique. Love the single person elevators and the vintage decor. The balcony in our room over looked hotel circle which was always busy and fun to watch all the driver’s working together. I would definitely recommend this hotel. ❤️

Vintage hotel that has been refurbished. Due to our travelling itinerary while in Greece we had 3 separate stays at the Katarina Hotel for a total of 4 nights. Rooms were clean and with the exception of our first night stay beds were very comfortable. Hotel Katarina allows guests to store extra luggage at the hotel so if you are travelling to one of the islands and are travelling lightly this is a great service which we took advantage of. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. If you are a walker it’s an easy walk to the Plaka district. While we saw homeless people in the vicinity no problems encountered. Easy access to nearby restaurants and bakeries.

Breakfast was not included in the rate and pricey by our standards.

The breakfast was satisfactory and the room was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful

    - good location. Less than 5mins walk to metro Metaxourgeio and Karaskaki bus stop- friendly staff

    - variety/different food each day for breakfast will be nice

The staff was always available, extremely courteous and accommodating. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, the sheets were wonderful. Somehow, I found the lighting exceptionally notable—not glaring, not too dim, easy to use, and just where you need it. The shower was great—handheld as well as fixed high on the wall—hot as I needed and strong pressure. Honestly, it was a wonderful find. I stayed an extra night and am returning after my trip to an island.

Online I was told I would have a balcony and we did not. Otherwise, everything was great including the breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The bar was super cute!

Having a balcony would have made our stay more pleasant.

Clean room, good location, metro nearby, very good breakfast, helpful personnel and nice and spacious rooms. You can reach the city center quite fast by metro.

No parking space on the street to unload the baggage, but the hotel has parking, 50m distance, fenced, so once you unload, just park it. There are some spaces in front, temporary, reserved for hotel guests, so it is covered.

Boutique hotel that was very clean & well maintained. Staff was polite & helpful

Small rooms & elevator was tiny

It was a great location for the hop on half off bus Food around there was excellent as well. They had a bread factory that had the best food, bakery goods, and desserts.

The property was clean. Staff was very helpful and kept our rooms tidy.

    9NadiaPosted on: 8-10-2025

Cozy, comfortable and clean property. Few steps away from the metro and the bus stations. Despite being in the city centre, it’s not noisy.

    No food, except the breakfast.

    9LiellPosted on: 8-4-2025

Location was great.Note that the hop on and off bus has a stop (#12) opposite the hotel so no need to walk for 15 minutes to find a hop on and off bus station.Subway was also literally around the corner.

On the photos I saw that the hotel has a beautiful view of the Acropolis, however this view is not from a terrace but rather from some specific rooms. This was very disappointing as I was expecting to be able to see the Acropolis from a common area of the hotel and get some night pictures of this Acropolis during our stay.

Friendly staffCentral location but in sketchy area

Property is old, rooms are small.Area is sketchy / not pleasant to walk around

The train station was close, so it was easy to get around. Breakfast had a nice variety. Hotel was clean.

The shower was a challenge evertime. The shower doors open small, the tub was too high and the tub was very small. The rest of the bathroom was OK.

    9LisaPosted on: 7-12-2025

I stayed at this beautiful place twice on my trip. Once at the start and once at the end of my time in Greece. It was wonderful and I would stay there again, should I ever get back to Greece. The location is awesome. I rode the metro often and I was only 2 - 3 minutes from the metro line.

Really nothing except I didn't spend too much time right by the hotel. I didn't see too many places to eat close by. But, the hotel has breakfasts, etc.
