Cons -
- Room very small one tiny wardrobe very small shower
- The beds at this hotel are like sleeping on a piece of cardboard on the floor. I'm not kidding, these beds are 0/5 stars. Hallways and traffic are loud. You will absolutely be disappointed with this hotel. It's not safe to walk at night after 9:00 p.m.
- They ran out of towels and it was 90 degrees but no AC was working so I couldn’t stay the full 2 nights as expected

The hotel is in an unsafe area, but it’s just a 3 minute walk to the metro, which is a plus
The hotel is very old and the rooms are very outdated. During our 3 day stay, the room was never cleaned. The minibar didn’t work and there was a slight smell of tobacco, which made it unpleasant at times. Overall, I felt a sense of insecurity, even inside the hotel
Located in the center of Athens, veryu close to a lot of interest points. If you are looking just for a place to stay and not have very much expectations this will be a great deal.
The price is a little to big compared to what it offers.
The room was good and the location is close to the city center, making it convenient. Overall, it was worth the price.
However, the bedsheets and towels were not clean when we arrived, so we couldn’t use them initially. Thankfully, the host replaced them later.
Terrible cigarette smell in the rooms and in the pillows! I asked to be moved to a non-smoker room, was told the hotel w
Potent old cigarette smell in the rooms and beds. Was told it was non-smoking despite ashtrays in both of the rooms I switched between and a horrible smell.
Great location. The room was good overall, and the staff was nice and helpful.
Towels were scratchy, but clean.
The hotel is in disrepair and not worth the money.
My hotel room smelled like smoke and had an ashtray in it. The door knob to the bathroom was broken. There were no glasses in the room. I couldn’t get hot water to take a shower.I wasn’t comfortable walking around the hotel at night .This was not a good value for the money.
Very close to Omonia metro station. Very helpful and pleasant staff. My room was clean, air conditioned and had a balcony. The price was very reasonable. There are good and inexpensive places for breakfast nearby and a very good souvlaki place opposite. Some people don't like that area but for me it is fine and interesting.
The hotel rooms and furniture are a bit tired and due for a refresh. If that happens the price must surely go up. The shower head needed attention and the TV had no signal but I found the hotel fine for a couple of nights and would probably stay there again.
Location and great view on Akropolis.
Bed mattress springs bothered me, it was hard to sleep. Bedding was worn out and had hotel stamping on the sheets. Bathroom needed some painting, so walls in the room.
No breakfast, great location
Mattress was very bad, with springs showing up and hurting. Bedding had stamps of the hotel and some stains, towels were worn out. Room needs some repaired and painting.
Great time at Ares. All went well. In walking distance to most tourist spots like the Plaka and the Acropolis, good WiFi large balcony, and clean building. I was satisfied ?
Its really nice and comfortable room. It is value for money. I stayed there for 2 nights and i really love it, because it's in the center and you can have easy access to prominent places.
The noise, i think windows of balcony should be replaced by sound proof windows
The lift was so loud and made the room shake. The hotel is next to a main road and really loud
Clean room
The noise from the main road during the night no double glazed glass. Terrace with old furniture. Shower with a plastic curtain. Continously noise from the elevator. The reception area can have some lift up no pictures and the reception desk was like a cage felt sorry for the front office team have to spend their shift there.
Only the location
The hotel is very dirty and facilities are damaged Have bugsMy daughter's body was bitten by the bugsAnd the room doesn't have any toilet paper and glass and any thing
Very close to Omonoia metro station in central Athens. Very helpful staff. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the price was very reasonable. There were plenty of places to eat in the vicinity.
Some people of a nervous disposition might find the area around Omonoia Square a little threatening. It didn't worry me. The rooms will probably need a makeover before too long but I was completely satisfied with the offer.
Only location.
There is no proper lights and Ac was not working properly.Bathroom curtain was dirty.
For such a low price, the hotel looked great, the room was clean and spacious and there was an AC.
I did not like the bathroom, could have been cleaner. Also the neighbourhood, even though it is walking distance from the center, it is a bit sketchy, I would not feel safe walking in the night.
