I only booked it because of the sauna and it was out of order for the week then a staff member told me on my last night that I could use it for 7000 huf ?

The receptionist was very nice, agreed to receive me late and helped me with everything I needed. The shared shower is very clean and the hotel is comfortable and cozy. There is also a small pool included in the price and a sauna for an additional fee.

A free parking and quiet area

The room is very small, around 10m2, not like it’s fixed in the description of the room. The price is too high for such small room, in the location which is quite far from the city center.

The front desk helped us to store the luggage. They were friendly and helpful.

We book a room with three beds. Two beds were ok, but one bed in our room was uncomfortable and hard to sleep. The location is far away from downtown Budapest. During the weekend, the price is much more expensive than weekdays.

The price but it costs us dearly trying yo save a buck.

We had to leave immediately and requested a refund which we did not get. The room was old, and most of all it stank of smoke and was impregnated with a horrible smell. We could not stay as our daughter is severely asthmatic. It is definitely not worth staying in this hovel. You will save a few bucks but it is super far from the center of town and the rooms are raking in smoke smell. We did not touch the room as we left right away and they denied the refund even after we explained our daughter’s problem.

Bit stinky pillow but there were 2 so I took another one. And bit noise from the street but after I closed window it was good.

We arrived at the hotel late, almost at midnight. The children were very tired, and all we wanted was to quickly check in and go to bed. The price of the room on booking.com was 95 euros. The hotel offered me to pay 125 euros for the same room and at the same time explained for a long time why it was not necessary to book a room through the site. The explanations were some strange, to be honest, I did not understand them. Therefore, I still decided to book a room through booking.com. And problems started right away. Firstly, I was immediately told that it was impossible to send the children to sleep until the registration was completed, as this was contrary to "Hungarian laws". Secondly, since the number is paid through the site, and not directly, registration will take 30 minutes longer. And, of course, in the process of registration, the employee urgently needed to call someone, go somewhere, and so on. In general, we went to bed somewhere around one in the morning.Yes, of course, not 95 euros were deducted from my card (as indicated on the website), but 106 euros, but here I was not even surprised and did not ask why.

Staff was very, very nice!The location is at 10km distance from the center but you may park the car there and take the bus no. 5 that have the station at 100m distance from the hotel. The trip is 30-40 minutes and I recommend the bus because all the parkings in Budapest are expensive and full.The room and bathroom were clean.Very good option if you want to visit Budapest without paying a lot of money just to stay in the city center. Also, there are just a few places in Budapest that offers free parking.

We had a great inconvenience during our stay at the hotel. The cleaning lady who cleaned the room did not change the bed linen, towels, vacuumed...practically did nothing except for one thing...on the last night when we started to pack we noticed that our three watches were missing. We called the police, who carried out an investigation and returned the watches to us at 4 a.m. the same night. The story was like we forgot all three hours on the chair.. Big shame

The location is a bit far from the main attractions, but with a 35 min straight connection in the center of the city. the room was clean and spacious, staff were very welcoming and 24hr reception and spoke good English.

The hotel is old and dated, but the rooms are clean. There is no elevator so be careful if you have heavy luggage. It is far away from the city center so I recommend it for those you are travelling by car. You also get free parking so this is a bonus.

The check-out is at 10am so have this in mind if you are a lazy morning person.

i stayed with hotel palota while visiting the city of Budapest, you will struggle to find another hotel with reasonable prices that match the quality here room was cleaned daily and the staff were more than able to help with any information I needed on my travel.

hotel palota is about a arms reach from the city centre but will you will need a taxi or bus on your trip to reach the city this price adds up and can’t add a large sum on your stay.
