Maverick Downtown

Excellent location, my room was huge. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Very clean, very good location, and the hostel being inside a historic building is a cool bonus. Overall, a very laid back and clean hostel. I would highly recommend staying here as opposed to the Maverick SoHo location if at all possible. One will find their experience to be quite polarizing between the two. There’s also a good grocery store right around the corner.

I have no complaints, the bathroom in my dorm was a bit old but it was clean so it wasn’t an issue.

It was clean and staff was really nice.

The guy in room was naked which made us uncomfortable.

The staff was always friendly and welcoming. I really loved how well located the place was: close to everything, with the metro just next door and many shops around. The kitchen made the stay even more convenient.The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.

Location is really good, property is clean and tidy, beds and pillows are comfortable, rooms are really warm, showers are good condition, staffs are helpful and friendly. Price is good.

Common area can be more effective and social. Lockers in rooms can be beter.

Everything, the place is amazing and the room of 4 was amazing as well and it has a private bathroom that was maintained and fixed.Though the place is on the main street somehow it was quite.

Special thanks to Dora la exploradora who took me for tacos and Dora for the wine tasting. Seems like all the staff are called Dora in this place ?.The location is as good as it gets in a very interesting looking building.

People snoring but that can't be helped much in a hostel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic, super central and easy to get to everywhere

The facilities were not very clean. There were stains and a lot of hair on my sheet and mattress. I told one of the staff and she helped change my bedsheet but the stain on the mattress was still very visible. Also, we asked for room service one day (to which a staff member confirmed) but they ended up not doing it. I don’t think the bathrooms and shared areas are cleaned that thoroughly either

Location is unbeatable. Rooms are good. Maybe not enough toilets and showers for the rooms but still wasn’t bad.

Great downtown location, amazing price. The property seems to be in different separate flats within the same building, so the area/flat I stayed in wasn't too crowded and was pretty quiet.

The bathrooms could be cleaner.

it depends where you stay: grand view of the boulevar at reception area with nice kitchen, but a little bit noisy at day time. Quiet at second floor but with smaller space and more rooms (dormitories) and fellow guests.

The water in bathroom was cold, it was too loud at night.

I had a wonderful stay at Rate Maverick Downtown! The place was very clean, comfortable, and modern. The location is excellent — close to everything, which made it easy to explore Budapest on foot. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the city!

The only thing I didn’t like was the access to the building, which could be a bit confusing at first. Other than that, everything was excellent and I’d definitely stay here again!

The staff were friendly and specially Miss.Dorka , she nicely communicating and hosting the event! Also, surprised by the Maverick small card memory! the room was beyond comfortable and clean disappointed with the kitchen side expected better and must bring more equipment!

Someone was stealing my food out of the fridge, literally eating my oatmeal out of my own personal glass sealed container. I opened it one morning to eat breakfast and there was a forkful taken out of it. They also unwrapped and ate my chicken sausages which were double bagged in two different packages, with my name on them. Not Cool.

It is close to the public transport. The reception services were good and staff are friendly. The bathrooms are clean and Okay. There was also a shared kitchen available with only basic facilities like microwave oven and kettles. Decent facilities in the room with shelves for clothes and other stuff. The room is compact for family of three. Price was also quite Okay. The bathroom had shower gels and body lotions. The room had quite good lighting.There are free luggage storage facilities available. The beds were fully comfortable. I would say that this is suitable for couples or families with kids. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby and is close to the tourist attractions. The hotel also provides Airport taxis for extra charge. The rooms are decorated in a good-theme setup. The complete hotel was well decorated. Also there were complimentary chocolates in the room.

The hotel is a bit difficult to locate. We wandered around in the same street for several minutes before locating the hotel and I hope they put clear signs outside the street to locate the hotel. There was no lift available to the hotel floor. we had to check-in quite late in the evening around 8 pm and also we had luggage and stroller. It was very difficult to go to hotel floor carrying the luggage and stroller without any elevator. There is no breakfast available. Kitchen is quite basic.
