City Hotel Ring

The staff was lovely and location was good

They did not clean everyday and did not inform us of that. They didn¿t provide new towels when we asked. Also when we put the sign out on the door to please clean the room, they didn¿t.

Breakfast is terrible. Not fresh, very limited options.

The breakfast was the worst I have ever seen. We didn't even take advantage of the breakfast, seeing only the state of cleanliness of the restaurant. The room we were allocated did not have normal lighting (but not all rooms are like that). The only small advantage of the hotel is the location, although even that is relative, since the hotel is located in the Pest part of Budapest, and the main destinations are in the Buda part.In short, I would not recommend staying here.

The location is really close to public transport stations.

The neighborhood is abit scary, even though its the case with every Budapest street at night. We stayed for 3 nights, but the room was not cleaned even once.We stayed in what was supposed to be 2nd floor, but I would consider that as 5th floor from how tiring the stairs were.

Wonderful localisation, delicious breakfasts, helpful staff, clean

Rooms are big enough, with a fridge. Breakfast was included, a nice surprise. Good value and availability.

Location is okay!

We spent 5 nights in this hotel and our bed sheets were never changed! The first 2 nights the heating wasnt working and after fixing it on our third night they removed the thing that can lower the temp and we were boiling! The last 2 days the room wasnt cleaned at all! I wouldn’t choose this for long stay or if money wasnt a problem!

The room was too warm at times, even without the heating on. Cooling switched off during winter months.

I found an anouncement in the bathroom telling the guests that if they want to change towels or linen in the days when the hotel does not change( it seems they decided on specific days only) than you HAVE TO PAY FOR IT !!!This is never heard of duch an outragious decision. Shame on the management. See attached picture.

I had a pleasant stay at this accommodation. Overall, everything was fine — the room was clean, well-equipped with essentials like air conditioning, strong Wi-Fi, and reliable hot water. The bed was comfortable, and the area was quiet, which made it easy to relax after a long day.The staff was friendly and responsive, always ready to help when I had questions. The location is also convenient, close to public transport, shops, and local restaurants.

One thing to note is that the room is located in an older building, so the elevator is also quite old-fashioned. It still works fine, just a bit slow and dated compared to modern ones. If you're someone who values a more modern environment, this might be something to keep in mind. All in all, if you don’t mind the age of the building, this place is a solid choice with a reasonable price.

AC does not workWindow side room, so noisy

Location good, overall for this price.

Staff. I chose the place with the "AC" filter. And nobody ever bothered to tell me that AC was not working "that day" as was said late at night at the reception. Imagine that at 30 degree heat. Overall staff not very helpful

The staff is super friendly, the room was spacious, a very comfy bed, clean. The location is the best, just some steps from the central station and from city center. For the price, it was just that we expected, in a very good way. Looking forward to stay here on our next visit.

Just some points of improvement , there is no elevator - for us was not a problem- maybe with heavy luggage can be. The space of the bathroom is very adequate but the space of the shower a bit reduced.

Nice location

It was not quite clean and they insisted that I didn’t stay there which I did?? She couldn’t find me on the list when I was entering the hotel, told her my bf is in the room so she let me upstairs, thanks

The rooms were clean, comfortable, have an electric kettle. Breakfast was very good with delicious coffee. The location is excellent for the railway station. We love walking and could walk everywhere once we were here. Lively road, lots of eateries nearby.We had an early flight and the hotel arranged for airport transport for a very reasonable 5000 HUF per person. It was very timely and efficient.

Room was clean and comfortable bed!

Someone was smoking regularly on the first floor and the entire lobby and stairs smelled.Also, the smell came into the room with the window open.The refrigerator started making noises at night, I had to look in the dark for a way to unplug it.for breakfast, a savory omelette and weak coffee

The staff is definitely the gem of this hotel, they greeted me after midnight with a smile, explained everything. The room was comfortable, clean and convenient.

The shower is actually oddly designed, maybe the shower curtain is just too short, in general most of the water was all over the bathroom.

Great location near the main train station. The room was quiet and we were not disturbed by any noise from the street.
