Hotel Gloria Budapest City Center

The staff was friendly.

There is no air conditioning! The hotel is NOT close to public transportation (metro). Hotel is a bit run down and not very clean.

The location was great.

We had an instance when we needed a first aid kit and there was not one available. there should always be a first aid kit in all hotels

Fourth time I've been there and everything is always great and as expected. Always someone available at the reception, neat and clean rooms. Breakfast is decent and has a good selection. Great location for events at the MVM hall, but I can also get a shuttle service to the city center, about 10 minutes away. Quiet neighborhood, parking available.

Good location, helpful staff, all necessary stuff in the room.

It was very stifling inside the room, however it was the end of October outside. Had to sleep with the opened window during the night.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.

The bathroom was small especially the shower area.

Situated in a quiet leafy street yet only a twenty minute walk to frequent public transport. The breakfasts had something for everyone in a very pleasant dining room.

The location is okay, quite near the tram and metro station. The rooms were clean and big, and overall comfortable. Breakfast was okay but not too many vegetarian options. The hairdryer of the room was not working but we were provided with another one, which was nice.

They state in booking that they have laundry service as additional service (with extra payment). But they don't. Which was a big disappointment because this was the main reason we booked the hotel. I asked if there was a laundry service nearby and they provided me with one, which was nice, even though it was 30 minutes away walking.Also, we had to check out for one night and came back the following day, as we were travelling somewhere else. So we asked if we could leave our luggage there which they accepted but told us that there shouldn't be so many bags and not big. So at the end we had to carry most of our luggage (which we didn't need) even though the luggage room was almost empty.It gave us the feeling that the two ladies from the check in counter were not very friendly and not in disposition to help at all.

Quiet room

No breakfast. Far from the city center; need to walk 10min to reach the local transport (bus/tram)

This place is great value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is really great - a short walk from the national and international bus station, close to the lovely People's Park, and not so far from the centre. The streets in the area are wide, quiet, and lined with trees.

The woman at the reception desk was rude. Very low customer service. Different insects were running around (big spider in the corridor, 2 different unknown "creatures" in the room).

No a/cRemote from city and no restaurant near hotel.

Breakfast: ok, enough, room: quiet, enough specious. Staff: nice and helpful. Street: calm. Would come again!

One towel less- just two- for legs and body. Coffee quality in room should be better

Spacious. Apartment was looking in the garden, beautiful view, peaceful.

Not very clean, spider web hanging around, outdated bathroom and furniture. Not really good price- quality ratio- it seems expensive.

Staff, Location, Room Cleanliness

The room itself was really clean and comfortable. Even had a mini fridge and a kettle available. Hair dryer and closet. Good size too. There is an elevator and is only a couple of blocks away from subway and tram.

My room was next to the staircase and I did not get a good night sleep. All the noise came right through the door. Unfortunately for me, there was a big group of teens and they were really noisy all night and early in the morning in the corridors and everywhere in the hotel. Nobody asked them to respect other guests. You can hear everything and even smell if someone else is smoking nerby. I got no good rest those 3 nights. The luggage room is tiny and was all full, dont count on it. No late checkout available either. Guess I just had bad luck.

Receptionist was super nice

There were tea, coffee sticks, cops and teapot But no water in the room at all, you can only buy it on reception - shame.

I really liked Gloria hotel including location. It's a really nice, warm and comfortable little hotel with reasonable price and friendly staff. I really liked it. The breakfast is very good anyway, I only wish there was a bit more choice for vegetarians.

Maybe just some small things like the hairdryer didn't work, the soap dispenser on the sink didn't work, and it would also be very nice if the phone charger was near the bed. I ordered separate beds and got a double bed. Room no. 19 that I got was right next to the stairs and the elevator, so it was noisy most of the time. But despite that, I like the hotel.

The location next to the train station, comfortable beds.

Thin walls, we could hear the people in the room next to ours talking.

The rooms looked good and overall clean. The hotel is in a calmer area of the neighborhood so not too much traffic noise. The staff was very respectful and always accommodating of any requests.

Loud guests so with the thin walls resulted in poor quality sleep even after the staff intervened multiple times. Stayed here multiple times and while it is usually clean i did find a quite “neglected” toilet seat, not so nice when you realize what you’re sitting on.

Nice personel, very helpfully, very good breakfast.

Unfortunately by the hole in the wall you can hear the neighbor on the nearest room. Not comfortable situation.
