Pros +
- We had a wonderful one-night stay at Verno House Budapest with my three sons. The hotel has a very elegant atmosphere and offers a high-quality experience.
- Beautiful hotel excellent staff outstanding room great spa and even a small fitness area. Close to the Danube with great food all around. Would highly recommend this hotel
- Verno House is truly exceptional. There is the obvious: the chic design, the great location, and the large and comfortable rooms... But the real story is the feeling you get there that everyone cares and wants you to enjoy your stay. This is in this hotel's DNA. Whoever designed the rooms - didn't just "do his/her job" - you can see this person cared about the result. The staff is not just professional - everyone is so attentive, going above and beyond to ensure that you receive the best service and also feel welcome. And there are all these little touches - like the welcome drinks, and the fact that the gym is open 24/7, and you have a razor in the bath in case you forgot yours... And I was really surprised by how kid-friendly the hotel is! We travelled with a 2-year-old (among the rest), and she got the same uncompromising treatment as anyone else: two sizes of (small) couchins, a fitting pair of slippers, and a miniature bathrobe. So, this is an easy recommendation, and likely my choice also the next time I'm in Budapest.
Cons -
- Unfortunately, there was one interaction that was disappointing when I asked if there is any pool or spa then get the answer from the night staff which makes us feel not welcome or not considered worthy of using these facilities
- There was a smell and bathroom
- The only downside is that leaving the hotel is genuinely difficult.

Location was good and hotel was nice
There was a smell and bathroom
I had high expectations, and this hotel exceeded all of them.Verno House Hotel is a modern yet refined property that blends beautifully into a stunning square surrounded by magnificent historic buildings. The balance between contemporary design and the historical setting is perfectly executed. The staff is truly outstanding: highly professional, impeccable, and extremely attentive to every guest’s needs. There is no waiting time, no distraction, and no detail out of place. Particularly impressive is their ability to remember guests’ dining preferences, despite welcoming thousands of visitors every week — a level of care that is rare even among luxury hotels. They are extremely flexible and accommodating with early check-in and late check-out, always handled with courtesy and efficiency. The hotel fully reflects — and in many aspects exceeds — its category, offering a standard of service higher than that of many other 5-star hotels. The views from the rooms are exceptional, and the location is probably one of the most convenient in Budapest. Central yet away from chaotic main roads, the hotel is set on a beautiful and quiet square, making the stay both comfortable and distinctive.
The only downside is that leaving the hotel is genuinely difficult.
The bed was super comfortable, and the location was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and even upgraded us when they found out it was our anniversary. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests and make our stay enjoyable. The spa was a real treat, too!
That we had to leave!
It was a great place the staff was very friendly and professional, our room was perfect for us
The TV problem started every morning intil one of the staff turned on again
Everything. Room is nice and spacious, location is perfect and staff is friendly.
Very good location Clean A really big room with big bathroom Recommended
Nothing everything was amazing
The room, view, location, everything was perfect!!! The staff were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and were honestly the best part of our experience (which is hard considering everything else was amazing).
Nothing at all
Everything. Staff was wonderful, so helpful ! Location was ideal ! And overall made our first time in Budapest splendid.
The staff were absolutely fantastic — professionalism coupled with kindness. Special thanks to Flora, who dealt with our 9:30 am arrival and 6:30 am departure by allowing us to have the included breakfast at the beginning. By the time we finished breakfast they had an “upgraded” room ready for us. Room was spacious with big tub and park view. We also enjoyed the spa’s hot tub, welcome drink and location near many restaurants and sights
The room’s Lightning design was tricky.
The location is central, room was clean, well equipped and overall very nice. The spa was cozy and had great ambiance. If not for the breakfast (or lack of it), it would be a 10.
The breakfast was really subpar, not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Some pastries, 2-3 slices of ham and salami, no eggs of any kind and very limited choices.
The location is awesome.
I was very disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding the deposit policy. After fully paying in advance, I was asked to leave an additional €50 deposit per night at check-in, which was never communicated beforehand. It felt misleading and unprofessional.
This is a perfect option for your stay to get familiar with Budapest. Very central location with all important destinations - point of interest, great places to eat and nice shopping - be nearby.Staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. You are really feel as a very special guest!Rooms are very comfortable with nice design and great functionality.Very good restaurant is attached to the hotel and provides for its room service. My stay was like a dream ))
Nothing critical to note. Maybe lack of late check out options :)
The location, the room, the staffs
Bathroom sink is a bit hard to use
the crows outside on the trees were very loud at night, but, that is not the hote´s fault
the recommendatios for dinner, we ended up in a very creepy restaurant that seemed like a tourist trap with a man playing some kind of piano, it was very expensive, we found much better places on our own
Rooms size and decoration, location and staff
hotel was beautiful. view out our window was beyond amazing. staff tried hard to accommodate earlier check-in as my partner didn't feel well. Room was beautiful and very very clean. really really wish we could have stayed another night or two. And while awaiting check-in, a staff member (sorry can't remember his name!) recommended an excellent bakery nearby (Artisan!) and an amazing, if expensive, restaurant where we had lunch. It was delicious enough, that if we hadn't had dinner plans with other people, we would have gone back! all in all, quite the pleasure!
the first thing is the kindness and professionalism of all the staff (from the reception staff to the room maids). The location of the hotel is perfect, the room was beautiful, clean and soundproof. Also the view from my room (4th floor) was magnificent. The bathroom of the room was spectacular.
