ibis Budapest Castle Hill

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the whole hotel was very clean and pretty.

The air conditioning in our room, 149, was not very good and the pillows on our bed were very flat.

The staff are amazing, the location is perfect very close to the metro station.

The rooms are very small and the bed is small size for the king bed size. No fridge, no closed closet , no slippers, no tissues, no water

I wasn’t welcomed. From the reception to the breakfast, staff was not professional and was treating (not only me apparently) with cotempt. The room was discrete. The shower not working properly. The room did look nothing like the pictures, no minifridge, no nothing… a b&b would have been better. At breakfast I asked politely if I could have an omelette, two waiters giggled, they kind of laughed at me and pointed rudely at scrambled eggs. Worst breakfast experience. I was looking forward to check out…

Close to Metro,bus and Tram.

No Refrigerator and Cattle . Cattle you can rent for 20 Euros not deposit , you can buy a cattle for 20 Euros.

There was no safe in my room (every room is supposed to come with one according to the staff). I was told one could not be brought to my room and so I had to switch rooms. I was not offered help with the move or an apology for the inconvenience

Great location under the Castle hill, safe parking, public transport nearby. Cosy and clean rooms, nice staff, absolutely phenomenal hotel restaurant and live music in evenings. Exceptional value for money.

The view oposite from Castle hill (our room) isn’t all that great. There is no active ventilation in bathrooms.

Housekeeping services were not good, air conditioning not managed post informing.

Location was great (could see fireworks from our window). Comfortable double bed.

Unpleasant smell coming from drains in the bathroom

The room could offer a Minibar.Also, the air-conditioner is not powerful enough.The sofa bed is not so comfortable.

I love the room. It's so cozy and welcoming. I give it 99 out of 100 points because the fact that no toothbrush was provided surprises me. Especially when I am used to visiting Asian countries. Again, the hotel is doing their best to reduce plastic wastes and everything was good, so it isn't really a problem. It's more like a suggestion to the hotel, and I think it would be great if biodegradable toothbrushes were provided.

I love my stay there. Not sponsored. I paid for the stay with my own money.?

The nearness to the Railway station.

We didn't find an electric kettle in the room and ended up getting hotwater from the reception desk.

Cleaning lady did not refill the soap and the showergel

Great location, close to subway, train station.

A/C didn’t work upon checking in. Carpet was dirty. Things falling off the table and our view was in the train station. One staff member made a comment about how “she could manage luggage better than me despite having with two children”. That was uninvited and unprofessional. The others were friendly otherwise

Hotel location is great, there are lots of supermarkets and a big shopping center nearby. Buda castle, Gellert Hill and central market hall are in a walking distance. The staff were very helpful and nice.The room was very clean. The hotel provides a couple of on-site parking options which is very helpful for those traveling with vehicle

Hotel location was good. No more than half hour walk to main attractions. Breakfast had a good selection

Rooms was dated. Need a bit of a Reno.

We really appreciated the location and the convenience of free parking throughout our stay.

One small suggestion: please consider placing the shower gel dispensers lower in the shower. They’re quite hard to reach and monitor, and we ran out of both gel dispensers after just one day.

Since my last stay the underground parking is now close to a wooping 24-25 eur, this is nuts ? for an Ibis in Budapest payed less in Lucerne CH.
