Hotel At the Golden Scissors

Our room at Hotel Golden Scissors was very clean, well furnished, with fresh linens and appropriate amenities. We appreciated the central location and loved that there was a Christmas market immediately in front of the hotel. The staff was very thoughtful in freshening our room daily, restocking water in our fridge, and arranging an airport taxi during our departure. The stay was wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for our experience to be anything more.

I would personally appreciate a few more clothes hangers.

We selected this hotel because of its location right next to the Charles Bridge.  We fell in love the first sight with the maple trees and gas lamps lined cobblestone street in front of the hotel.  The room was clean and roomy. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. It is within walking distance to the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square with its Astronomical Clock, Jewish Quarter … The breakfast was fantastic.  The hotel management was also very friendly and helpful; we especially appreciated Martin who helped us arrange a Taxi to the train station to go to Vienna. We will select this hotel the next time we are in Prague.

The hotel was difficult to find. Check-in was rushed and internet details were not given. The hotel controls the heat! Not everyone enjoys a hot room in the winter. We were told to simply open windows for fresh air. That’s great and all, but when there is a market right outside your room the noise makes it difficult to sleep. Would prefer to adjust own temperature in room.

The location is AMAZING! Steps from the bridge. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The breakfast was delicious and we ate at the restaurant some which was also very good. Could not have asked for a better experience and if we come back to Prague we will stay there again. They also set up private transfer for us from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the train station.

Location, clean and great breakfast

Really tiny room with no closet. All my clothes were in my luggage. Changing clothes was an exercise. We stayed for 5 nights but they could not find a larger room. By the way, after 80 days and over 35 different places that we stayed this room was too small for 2 adults and 4 bags

The rooms was less that my expectations. I booked a suit and I was expecting a bigger place and a bigger bathroom or a bathtub. Yes the room was clean but old. The value to benefit wasnt as expected. Other than that there was no problems

The hotel was located in the New Town of Prague away from the busyness of the Old Town but close enough to meet our guides for city tours. Breakfast was very good as was dinner which we ate at the hotel on several occasions. The hotel managers and staff were excellent and extremely helpful to us.

We had difficulty with our luggage on the stairs going up to our room.

Lovely hotel placed right near the Charles Bridge on the "quiet" side - so accessible to everything within a few steps. Staff was friendly and courteous and could not do enough to help. Room was well laid out and clean, housekeeping was prompt each day and the bed was comfortable. Nice seating area in my room where my friend and I could plan our daily excursions. Breakfast room was airy and the breakfast buffet choices were good. We had lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed it very much,

Mobility-challenged folks may find the stairs a bit tricky - circular stairs with small landings before the first locked entry door upstairs - staff helped with luggage up and down which was great, but something to keep in mind if a traveler has trouble with narrow portions of the staircase. Landing areas on each floor (past the door) were spacious. Not an issue for us.

Beautiful hotel in quiet location with an easy walk across Charles Bridge to Old Town. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Nothing negative—just good to know that the hotel bar and restaurant close at 9pm most (if not all) nights.

The property is in a perfect location and everyone is wonderful and kind.

Due to construction and being in the heart of Prague, the hotel was difficult to find at first, but after calling the hotel was able to assist and finding parking was easy.

Shower had no privacy, was in the middle of the room. Not great when you’re traveling with your kids. Everything else was really good especially the location.

Property is lovely, great location, clean and tidy and nice rooms. Happy we were given our preferred room with Juliet balcony. So close to Charles bridge and the beautiful parks

Both my friend and I thought the hotel was 10/10 in terms of the value, location, and cleanliness for the price. Centrally located, but not too noisy. Excellent breakfast. Quiet and cosy small boutique-feeling hotel.

Great hotel with very nice staff. Room was clean and very spacious. Lot of variety of food for breakfast. Definitely will come again. Highly recommend.

I stayed at The Golden Scissors Hotel in Prague, and the experience was simply perfect. The hotel is located in the Old Town, in a historic building that has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are spacious, stylish, fully renovated, and furnished with comfortable and tasteful furniture.The staff was kind and helpful, the cleanliness was of a very high standard, and the European-style breakfast was delicious and satisfying. There was absolutely nothing missing in the room.The location is excellent – right next to Charles Bridge, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The hotel has a rustic yet modern and well-maintained design, and there’s even a small neighborhood playground nearby – a great bonus for those traveling with children.In short – an excellent place. I truly enjoyed my stay, and when I return to Prague, there’s no doubt I’ll stay at the same hotel again.

Great location within walking distance to all of the main areas if interest. The rooms are large and comfortable and very clean.
