    Pros +

    • The tub/shower had good water pressure & good hot water.
    • Not major problems. Bed was comfortable, clean sheets.
    • Staff had loads of information, patient and helpful.

    Cons -

    • Overall, this hotel is horrible. My warning to anyone is not to stay at this hotel.
    • One of the receptionist (evening) was very rude. She made us run late just because she took 15min to open the door of the parking. I understand she was checking in someone else but it was to press a button and when talked to, she replied in a very rude way. The room was not dirty in the sense that one could see they cleaned it but not as thoroughly as one would expect (we found old bread in one drawer for example)
    • Interior upgrade is way overdue.

It is in a good location. 20-25 minutes to the center of the city by bus and Metro. It is well connected. The place is clean.

For the price charged, Breakfast could have had more variety. Also there is no lift in the place I stayed. Had to carry my luggage one floor.

    The location was good

    - No kettle in the room- You need to wait in front of the parking garage until the reception respond and open the door- you need to go to the reception to get hot water and sometimes receptionist is not friendly - private bathroom has no lock- rooms very close to each other which is noisy

    5StephanPosted on: 3-27-2025

Honestly there wasn’t much to say about the hotel that we felt was great, but to pick something is the garage opposite the hotel

When we arrived at about 8/9pm the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The towels were rock solid and small. The mattress was filthy and lined with lots of long hair. Not enough toilet roll given. There was not kettle or complementary drink making facilities (unless you buy their breakfast buffet). The walls were paper thin.Mould and damp in the bathroom mainly above the shower. No coat hangersSeemed like the floors have never seen a fresh laid carpet before across the entire hotelSecond night, a huge group of students arrived who were loud right through the night and early hours of the morning which is not great and we know they can not be controlled but, it wasn’t fair to let others guests stay on the same floor. Breakfast was limited and dry.

Very nice, clean room, very friendly staff and welcome, excellent location. Bus stop, tram and gas station (shop) nearby! Excellent breakfast.

NOTHING-Why?Read below○ Check in Experience:We arrived at the hotel on 24th December at approximately 15:30 CET. Despite only one person ahead of us in the queue, the check-in process took nearly an hour, which was quite frustrating. The receptionist appeared unapproachable, showing little enthusiasm or professionalism. Her demeanor lacked warmth, and she seemed disengaged, which left a poor first impression.Side note: It's like in the 21st century you see a grumpy lady with a typewriter (ah it was a computer) who seems to be dissatisfied with her job, doesn’t want to smile and treating all the customers poorly.○ Hotel Infrastructure:Elevator/Lift: The hotel features an elevator from a reputed company (Schneider), designed to accommodate up to four adults. While the elevator functions well for going up, returning to the reception on the 1st floor presents an unusual challenge: The "1" button has been deliberately disabled. This means "the GUESTS NEED TO TAKE THE STAIRSCASE" instead. It seems this decision was made by the hotel management, perhaps as a cost-saving measure to reduce electricity usage. It is absolutely an inconvenient and impractical for guests, especially those with mobility issues or heavy luggage.○ Room Key Card:During our 3-night stay, we had to visit the reception at least 3-4 times across multiple rooms to have our key cards reset. Despite being cautious and ensuring the cards were not kept near electronic devices or cell phones, the repeated failures highlight the poor quality of the key cards, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.○ Amenities:Extremely underwhelming, so it’s best not to expect anything. Additionally, when we requested some basic dishes and cutlery, the management responded rudely and dismissively. To make matters worse, their behavior was offensive and discriminatory, with a sarcastic racists remark implying, "No hotel in Europe provides this, maybe in INDIA you get them.

    ○ Cleanliness: Shockingly, we noticed blood stains on the bedsheet, which was both unhygienic and unacceptable.○ Standard Room Tariff: The standard room tariff of 19,800 CZK for 3 rooms over 3 nights, including breakfast, felt completely unjustified given the utter subpar services received. We left feeling absolutely cheated.○ Hospitality (Customer services): When we explained that one of our group members was unwell and unable to join for breakfast, we politely asked if we could take a fruit and some juice to their room on compassionate grounds. The receptionist responded insensitively, saying, "If the person is sick, then why do you need food?" This response was utterly disgraceful and lacked basic humanity. To make matters worse, the manager joined the conversation and rudely added, "Can't you read the signboard that says no food should be taken out?" Such behavior was both unprofessional and deeply disappointing.○ Privacy: It was a significant concern during our stay. Shockingly, 2 out of 3 rooms did not have any latches or locks on the bathroom doors, which is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. **** Note****We traveled from Poland and have never encountered such poor service anywhere in Europe over the past 5-6 years. (DO NOT DELETE THIS FEEDBACK)

    Staff is ok

Breakfast is very bad. I do not recommend it at all. Facility is very old and for the money we payed it is really crap. Location is also far away, you will definitely need a trasportation which will be aprox 30min

    7anzerPosted on: 12-25-2024

The hotel is close to a gas station with a shop open 24/24h.Close to a bus station that connects you with the rest of the local transports.

No Shampoo / No shower gel / No tea bags (it isn’t a big deal for the hotel to put some, but it’s highly appreciated when they exist)The shower was not warm, but mere normal. (Difficult to take a shower in a cold weather)Room for three people is only comfy for two, the third person gets the uncomfortable Sofa.

The hotel was very clean, but other than that it wasn't very good.

The location is very bad, the employees are very indifferent, the bathroom was not clean enough, the sheets were very clean, the price is expensive.

    2DominikPosted on: 12-16-2024

Not a lot. I guess the heating worked, the elevator worked and the windows opened? Not much beyond what the most basic fundamental requirements are..

The Hotel was more like a blue-collar dorm. The halls reeked musty and of smoke. The room looked like a dorm and the staff was not very helpful. The first night there was no hot water in the shower and when I asked to borrow the only iron they had (at the reception), the receptionist threw a tantrum demanding I bring it back asap otherwise she'll come look for me. As If I needed to keep an old dusty iron for longer than needed. Overall a very unpleasant and shady place, with no 24/7 reception and questionable or otherwise lacking amenities. The thing is, this would all be fine if the stay was affordable but this "hotel" charged 220 USD for two nights. An absolute joke. Shame on me for booking last minute and being stuck with this choice.

Hotel staff very friendly. And good working. And location is good. Franz Kafka Grave is near. I’m walking 15 minutes. Food Market is near.

I have disappointed one thing. There was no bathtub only shower.

I checked out after less than an hour on 21.11.2024, and I can't even begin to explain how disappointing my stay was. Overall, it was a disgraceful experience. Please take this review seriously

The room was extremely dirty, with dried bugs, a smelly carpet, a dirty chair, and a sticky sofa. There was no TV, and there was a lot of noise. The bathroom was the worst part; it had a terrible smell. I couldn't sleep at all because of the conditions. I

    2AnnaPosted on: 11-5-2024

    Warm, and good location.

Very little space near the double bed, dirt everywhere, lots of hair in the bath drain, previous guests bodyhair on the bath floor, and even dirt on the toilet and seating… Maybe the old lady who made the cleaning wasn’t see or forgot it, but even then I think it’s unacceptable to present a dirty toilet for arriving guests. The night receptionist was not helpful at all. I explained that my partner did not arrive because of an accident, and he will not come, so I tried to cancel his part or at least his breakfast. The receptionist told, that he cannot cancel, but added smiling that I can take more. From buffet table…However, the breakfast itself wasn’t something what people would like to have more of. The quinoa-like stuff was there day by day with its rotten carrots inside, and the cup yoghurts were also not cooled, but were served day after day the same thing. Those were literally fermented, looked like a geyser, smelled like some brewery. Why aren’t they taste them before they serve it to the guests? The whole place was really like ‘we don’t care about you at all, even jerk receptionist, rotten food and dirty bathroom will be ok for you’.

The city center is easily accessible from the area. There are a lot of restaurant and shop.

The room cleanliness could be better. The sink was very small.

الفندق نظيف وهادئ ويستحق تقييم أعلى لولا موظف الاستقبال

The receptionist's behavior was very bad. He initially handed me a room completely different from my reservation, and when I asked him to give me a suite according to my reservation, he delayed me a lot and claimed that he did not know that there were such rooms in the hotel. He began threatening to cancel my reservation and began to taunt me in front of the rest of the guests and deliberately delay me until he contacted the hotel management. They informed him that the suite I had booked would be delivered to me . But after approximately an hour. I hope that the hotel management will address this matter

    Disgusting

The room in old building was stinking and dirty, with 2 separated wooden beds, cold, even with no TV, but with stuck candy on the bad. Completely different from the room we ordered. We left this property after 30 minutes but the hotel still felt free to charge 171 dollar cancellation fee. No more EA Hotel Populus.

    4ZoranPosted on: 10-9-2024

The building was clearly used for some other purpose before, hence inadequate room sizes - bathroom too big, yet no bathtub and tiles in it unpleasing. Also, bad connections to the city
