    • Friendly staff,very helpful.Great breakfast.Very good location,close to town.

    Cons -

    • Nothing to remark.
    • Nothing we didn’t like, just would have liked to be able to sit out on the roof terrace is all, but we understand why they wouldn’t encourage this in the very cold weather!
    • Could do with a more extensive bar. A roaring fire was crying out to be sat in front of for a few hours, when it was -8 outside.

Hotel Julian was perfection in Prague. Location was ideal--quiet,minutes away from the river, Charles Bridge, sites and sights; nestled in a restored 1880s Hapsburg Empire 4 story building; a rooftop terrace with a view of all; wonderful staff & service.

The fireplace downstairs is amazingly cosy. The reception is utmost welcoming and offered us a free drink.Rooms are tidy and clean. My girlfriend and I loved the bathroom products. The breakfast varies from day-to-day and offers some local specialties.Location is in a nice neighbourhood, close to public transport.

    Nothing to remark.

Perfect location and very friendly staff who are always happy to help. The room was spotless, with an exceptionally comfortable bed.Breakfast was rich and satisfying, with plenty of choice. The rooftop terrace is absolutely beautiful. The fireplace in the library creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Our attic suite was lovely warm and cosy, clean and tidy. It was simply and nicely decorated. The bathroom was well equipped and the velux wondows throughout gave views over the rooftops. Kettle & tea making stuff, mini fridge, hairdryer. Toiletries provided too. Nice and close to the roof terrace which was accessible but chairs and tables put away which was a shame as despite the cold weather we would have liked to be able to sit out even if not for long. Staff very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Parking suitable in courtyard. Breakfast buffet varied and hearty. We’d been before and would return again. Straight forward and not too far to walk into the centre of Prague.

Nothing we didn’t like, just would have liked to be able to sit out on the roof terrace is all, but we understand why they wouldn’t encourage this in the very cold weather!

Staff couldn’t do enough for you and the hotelwas a very cosy home from home

Could do with a more extensive bar. A roaring fire was crying out to be sat in front of for a few hours, when it was -8 outside.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety and selection. The location was excellent for our needs and excursions. Staff was exceptional and Petr was a tremendous asset to us. His directions, recommendations for restaurants, and helpfulness was above and beyond. He is a tremendous asset to this establishment and we are very thankful to have had his assistance.

Nothing that we could think of.

We loved our visit to Prague and had a great experience at Hotel Julian. Cute boutique hotel in a great location - outside of the main touristy area. - but walkable to everywhere. The included breakfast had so many delicious options and they had a happy hour (which we never made it to) every evening. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. All the staff we interacted with were so friendly and helpful.

    10ClairePosted on: 1-6-2026

The staff were very friendly.Breakfast was excellent. The tram and bus stops were very conveniently located nearby. The room was quite spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. The towel warmers in the bathroom were a very nice touch.

The shower had low water pressure, which was a bit inconvenient.

It was very homely with a good atmosphere. Our Bedroom was a good size & the hotel had a nice feeling of age and classic Central European architecture. Breakfast was more than ample. The library was a pleasant place to sit & read or enjoy afternoon tea. The fire was lovely. The lift was good and the hotel’s position around the corner from a tram stop just 10 minutes to old town and 5 minutes to lesser town and the castle was great.

The breakfast room was not big enough when most people arrived for breakfast which was 8 45 to 9 15 it felt squashed. The other issue was that we booked a taxi to pick us up at the airport but it never arrived. We had to ring the hotel who then ordered a taxi. We don’t know whose fault that was but we ordered an Uber to take us to the airport and it arrived on time and much cheaper!

Our second stay at this hotel in two years - it’s a luxury boutique property where reception is managed 24 hours a day and where they treat you like a special guest of theirs and its location is on the fringe of busy Prague. Special mention to Marcela - thank you. The area has lovely restaurants and conveniences if you need supplies while travelling.

We liked the location, the breakfast and the 3 single beds for an all female holiday. The staff were friendly and it was very cost effective and the bar was also very reasonable

The location of the Hotel was great within walking distance to the centre The Hotel was in a quieter area Rooms were clean and beds were made daily whilst we were out sightseeing the beautiful city.Local Tesco if you need last minute bits was a 2 min Walk Breakfast was buffet great selectionWould definitely come back to this Hotel again x

Great location. Short walk to the old town square but on a quieter road so great for sleeping.

Could have been more choice of vegetarian food at breakfast but overall was all great.

Nice location, friendly staff, excellent room

    10DianaPosted on: 12-2-2025

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lavish. The hotel lobby was like a library and very romantic with its fireplace. The sights were a 10-minute walk away. The bars´ prices close to hotel were twice cheaper as in old town.

The location is within the walking distance to the river of Prague (I don't know the name of that river); the decoration is very classic and the cleanliness is perfect; the breakfast exceeds my expectation; the staff is very helpful; besides, the hotel offers a private parking (but you need to pay for it, 20 Euro/day). It is very pity that I had no time to enjoy their English style library and the rooftop terrace.

The sound isolation of the room (maybe only my single room has such problem) is not working well, I can clearly hear the noise from neighbor room; The bathroom of the single room is basic, not at the level of a 4-star hotel --> instead of a shower, there is a bathtub without shower curtain, which is not handy for me to take a shower; and the water from the shower head is 'weak'. I don't enjoy taking shower in my room at all.
