About
Re-opened in June 2014 after an extensive renovation, 3-star AXA Hotel was built in the early 1930s in a Functionalist style in a central Prague location 3.6 feet from Wenceslas Square. Free WiFi is available, and for surcharge, guests can use a swimming pool, sauna, fitness center, and sun bed. The modern and bright rooms at Hotel AXA come with a flat-screen satellite TV, a seating area, and a bathroom. There is no air condition in the rooms. During summer months, fans are available upon request. Bílá Labuť Tram Stop is only steps away, the Florenc Bus Station is 984 feet away, and the Palladium Shopping Center is 1312 feet away. It is 1476 feet to the Masarykovo Train Station and 0.6 mi to Prague Main Train Station. Prague Airport is 6.8 mi away, with transfers available at an additional cost. In 2014 the building was declared a cultural monument by the Czech Ministry of Culture.

- It was clean but gave hospital/clinical vibes with smell of bleach and concrete flooring- no carpet. Bathroom was clean with good shower.
- Liked the comfy bed and the large room.
- Near , price, clean , quit
Cons -
- Although in Prague 1, there are a lot of roads around it so felt quite removed from centre even though it’s not. It smelled of bleach. The beds were not very comfortable and hard floors cold. Breakfast is in a room with mostly long tables. Food was displayed fairly randomly on various tables. It was adequate but nothing special. We moved to another hotel which was €4 more per night and it was far superior in every way. (K+K Fenix: brilliant)
- The curtains could have been a bit thicker to keep out the light . breakfast was at 8 and as I had an early start it was a bit rushed. Apart from that it was great !
- No water , Curtain , bad view

The hotel is very conveniently located — there’s a bus station, metro, and tram nearby. Although you probably won’t even need them, since all the “postcard” highlights of Prague are within a 10–15 minute walk. The hotel may not be brand new, but everything is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is varied with something for every taste. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. Special thanks for letting us store a heavy suitcase until the end of the day after checkout — it made our last прогулка around Prague much easier before departure.
I couldn’t figure out whether the lobby bar was open — I think it wasn’t. It’s not really a downside, but it would have been nice to relax or work there in the evening. Maybe it wasn’t popular, so they stopped operating it.There is no air conditioning in the room, but there is a fan. It might get hot in summer — just an assumption, I’m not sure.
Location is very good it is near everything and the tram is just right there, the hotel itself is fair, its a 3 star hotel no a fancy one it gets the job done and thats it. Staff is great and the hotel was clean
Only the design of the rooms it felt a little bit dull, but who is going there to the design
The hotel is nice, the breakfast is good, and the on-site staff are friendly. The problem lies with customer service and higher management.
I first alerted the hotel about a phishing scam in June, and by August I had provided official proof from my bank showing exactly how it happened. After all that, and numerous email and cries for help, I get dismissive messages (such as the one below, see screenshots) claiming to “review the facts” before washing their hands of any responsibility and sending me back to Booking.com.This is not just poor service — it’s outright negligence. The hotel showed no concern for guest safety, no accountability, and no basic decency in dealing with a clear case of fraud linked to their booking process.Be warned: if something goes wrong, this hotel will not help you. They will deflect, delay, and hide behind excuses. An experience that started with trust ended in total disappointment. Booking.com’s handling was also completely unacceptable — their responses were slow, contradictory and I still have no assurance I will ever receive my refund.
Large, spacious, clean room. Large double bed, fridge, and plug sockets next to the bed. 15 minutes walk into the centre of Prague. Great buffet breakfast - lots of hot and cold options and you can have as much as you want. Close to the bus and train stations. A pleasant hotel, perfect for a good-value trip to Prague.
Only one large pillow, which I didn't find comfortable. I could have asked at reception, but I didn't, so I guess there may have been more options.
I've stayed in axa a couple times already,Very close to the bus station and to the city center. Rooms are clean, big and with all the amenities you might need - tee pot, fridge, mirror, hair dryer - The hotel also has a pool and gym in the same building that you can use for a fair price. Gym was very complete with machines and free weights
Breakfast has very few options, but it does its work and its included in the stay,
Great location, 15min walking distance anywhere you wish to visit. The staff were generally friendly, the open buffet was sufficient; it was just a bit boring that it was the same every day. The hotel was warm enough, we didn’t feel cold.
There was no enough bathroom amenities, no slippers provided etc.
Everything was perfect, good location, very clean and staff was 10/10
Good location, very good breakfast which catered for vegetarians
Location was great.Room was clean.Breakfast was ok.Heating system was effective. (important for winter)Room was big.
Check in experience was unpleasant.Lack of transparency with facilities (gym, spa, swimming pool weren't available to us).
A complete hotel! Wonderful! Excellent service, new facilities, unmatched shower, soft and cozy mattress, cleanliness on point... Wonderful experience! And it even has a subway, surface train, and bus right nearby! You can visit the city's main attractions on foot... I recommend it to everyone!!!
We liked everything! I recommend it to everyone!!! It was cold outside, but the room had a wonderful temperature!
I would really like to thank the receptionist. He was so humble and very helpful towards us. He explained us all the things to visit in city and breakfast was very good.
Good stuff and nice quality of bed!!!! We slept so well
We couldn’t figure out the way to use heater and no proper instruction was given :(
Breakfast was good, lot of options;Nice position, very easy access to Bila Labut station with many connections to main attractions of the city; The room was clean, we had most of the facilities expected;Very kind staff, they helped us when requested.
The twin beds felt a bit uncomfortable sometimes because of the gap in between - felt like two beds were united. Maybe some slippers would be a nice addition.
The room and bathroom were enormous and I appreciated the kettle and team in the room. The location is quite good too and the hotel in general very clean anf tidy. The minimalistic asthetic was very welcome and functional too.
If coffee was present in the room, it would be great. Also the single beds are tiny and I could barely fit. Although the double bed was huge! Please allow customers that book through booking.com free access to the gym and pool. It would have been nice.
AXA was a short walk from Prague Old Town. It was very clean, and the room was serviced daily. Breakfast was all you could ask for
There was nothing not to like
The location and staff were great
One elevator wasn’t working so the wait was long. The doors don’t soft close so when someone leaves some of the rooms, it sounds like an explosion. The sheets don’t fit the bed - they used 2 twin sheets so there was a lumpy line across the bed at mid thigh.
+ clean, + space in the room, + breakfast
- 10min from centre, - gym and pool are extra payments
