Disaster, Dirty, Not Safe

Very disappointing and unsafe stayOur stay at Hotel Residence Select in Prague was a terrible experience. We booked for two nights, but the room was in very poor condition. The toilet seat was broken, the shower was damaged, the room was dirty, and there were wet patches all over the ceiling, which was very concerning.I informed the staff about these issues as soon as I noticed them, but they did not seem bothered at all. Communication was extremely difficult as the staff did not understand or did not want to understand English, and no effort was made to help or resolve the problems.The worst part happened on the day of departure. While I was taking a shower, the shower holder fell and cut my toe deeply. I was bleeding heavily and in pain. My cousin went to reception to ask for first aid, but there was no first aid available, and again the receptionist did not understand or offer any help.Due to the injury and the hotel’s lack of care, I had to end my holiday early as I was unable to continue exploring because of the pain.Overall, the hotel is poorly maintained, unclean, and unsafe, with very unhelpful staff. I would not recommend this hotel and do not believe it meets acceptable standards.

Location was perfect , the stuff on reception and in kitchen were very nice.

The facility is very old and need proper renovation, the rooms are cold and need to ask for AC to turn on , they remotes didn't work so I had to find myself. Also before reservation I asked for queen bed and the confirm that it is okay, but the hotel didn't have queen bed at all. And the windows are so bad, it is so noisy impossible to sleep.

The hotel room is dirty, dust everywhere. The dishes are not washed properly. The multifruit juice for breakfast is diluted.

The hotel is in a great locationThe staff is welcoming, and the front desk is open 24/7The rooms are very clean, a great surprise to find a fully equipped kitchenette in the room , , although the room is located on a relatively busy street, at least in my room (4th floor) the street noise was not heard in the room.The breakfast is rich and delicious.In short, I received full value for the price I paid.

the furniture and facilities are oldkitchenette equipment is outdated, but it does the jobold TV (without options for using apps or sharing music, movies, etc.)

Breakfast, warm room, easy access

Good for just a sleep.

I entered my assigned room and immediately noticed it had not been cleaned.Both beds were untidy, and one of them had hair in it.I returned to the reception to report the issue.The receptionist challenged my complaint and suggested I sleep in the bed without hair, even though it was still untidy.I refused and asked for either a different room or for the current room to be cleaned.After contacting her manager, the receptionist told me the room would be cleaned.I left my luggage in the hotel and went for a walk, being assured it would be ready upon my return.I came back two hours later, but the room had still not been cleaned.A different receptionist was now on duty; after checking, they provided me with another room that was clean.

The room was comfortable, roomy and with great amenities.

I got the sense if I went the wrong direction, it was pretty "seedy."

Location, value and facilities

The bathroom had a minor foul smell. The socket by the bed charged the lamp and socket, so, i had to unscrew the bulb to charge something during the night

convenient, clean, rooms size and bed mattress quality ok, center at walking distance (+/-20 min). Room prices are moderate, and breakfast is quite good for the price. You can park nearby 1.20 €/hour, 8am-8pm, weekdays

Cleaning was good, and the hotel’s location is convenient — but that’s about it.

The hotel is old, and things keep breaking right in your hands: door handles come off, light bulbs burn out, and some sockets don’t work. Breakfasts are extremely basic — bread, cheese, and cold cuts, with a few boiled eggs. Pastries are often stale and tasteless, and the coffee is barely drinkable. You won’t go hungry, but there’s no pleasure in eating here.

Room was very clean, we had single packed toiletries (shampoo, body lotion, soap bars, shower gell, toot brush with toothpaste), we also got hotel slippers. Our room was facing the inner courtyard so it was very quiet. We were staying at the beginning of November and the heating was on, very pleasant and nicely warm in the room. Breakfast was with variety of food and everything was fresh.

Through the ventilation in our bathroom I could hear the neighbours, but when the door of our bathroom were closed it was more quiet and didn't bother me at all. Our beed cover had two torn places which were patched. Some might find this not acceptable, I personally care more for cleanliness, which in room exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness in room I would rate with 10, but the cleanliness in the breakfast area I would rate with 7. Still, I would recommend the hotel and the breakfast.

The location was very convenient, close to everything I needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was lovely (with eggs) a nice start to the day.

The room definitely needs some maintenance and a bit of refreshment such as a new coat of paint and small repairs would make a big difference. The shower and toilet seat were broken, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. The pillow was very thin and not supportive. The room faced the main road and the noise was terrible, I could still hear traffic even with earplugs on - which lead to almost no sleep. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it really needs some attention to detail and better sound insulation.

Not worth your time

The double bed is two different single beds at different height pushed together. The power sockets don’t work and f you have the lights on. I wouldn’t reccomend

Good location, peaceful area and metro tram everything was nearby. Breakfast was great, had a lot of varieties. Room was clean, spacious and better than pictures.

Heater was not working. It was raining outside. So even in summer room was so cold and we had little children with us. They should fix this issue

Unstable stairs in the room to the second floor, the sound of water being flushed in the toilet of this and the next apartment can be heard in the room. Breakfast could be more varied

The kitchenette inside the hotel room was nice. Complete with utensils, stove, pan, kettle and mini refrigerator. This is a typical european old building so expect that somehow it is old style. From furnitures to the interior. Otherwise, bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

- No smart tv. ?- There was construction on-going near the building which will wake you up. - I spent 20mins walking from Main Station to the hotel since I arrived at 21:00 and no day ticket ? for public transportation. Otherwise, Metro Station is 5mins walk. - Breakfast was okay.

Pleasant

Price charged at the hotel was more than the price given during booking. No response from both front desk staff as well as Booking.com customer service. Breakfast was OK. No wide range options in comparison to many other economy hotels where I stayed.

Location was perfect. The room was very clean. The breakfast was very nice.
