Sophie's Hostel

Loved the large room with one queen and on bunk bed which was perfect for a group. Very large modern bathroom and kitchen area. Everything was clean inside the room. Fun atmosphere to meet other travelers! For the price, it was definitely worth it!

The guestroom corridors need some updates (carpet, tile)

Staff was really unfriendly and not able to speak proper english and trying to deceive with increased fee’s for almost everything.

The bathroom cleans

I couldn't rest properly after all day visiting. Noisy outside the room and inside my room people are smelling and making noise without respect are sharing

Rude receptionist, small rooms

Very small rooms for the number of beds. Photos do not represent the standard rooms.The receptionist behavior was arrogant, unprofessional and unexperienced. She came into our room while few people were relaxing. She wanted to open an extra window for ventilation despite one window is already open and it was freezing cold. This is not the job of the receptionist to dictate how many windows should be opened. It is natural that when we feel cold we close the windows and when we need ventilation we open a bit. As I was shievering from the cold, I asked the receptionist for a solution that we need to close the window or I need another room or I need to cancel. She could not understand that it is really cold and we cannot sleep like that. After a long useless discussion I decided to cancel the reservation and lose the cost of the first night but save my time and trip and health. I have never seen such an arrogant behavior from a receptionist who wants to control the guests and dictates how many windows should be opened. At the end she wrote that the cause of cancellation is that I did not appear despite I was there in the cameras. This is to save herself from any problems with the managers. This is called lying to hide a mistake.The hostel itself is not highly maintained like modern hostel companies who have many branches. Rooms in the photos are not the standard rooms which are less quality especially the floor. Only the toilets are renovated. The size of my room was very small for the number of guests.

The place was best maintained. Good meals.

A wonderful stay! The location is central and very convenient. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was great.

The breakfast was affordable and of great quality, full buffet, and the lounge area is incredible. The bathrooms were SO clean, and as someone who's been traveling for awhile thats one of the most important things in my opinion.

The hostel has very good location where is accessible to the main spots. I like that it’s close to the tram station too.The breakfast is very nice with a bundle of choices. I liked it a lot.

Perhaps, the 5-bed room is not in ideal arrangement. One bed is close to the main door, and two beds are close to the windows. I had to use the eye mask most of the time for easy sleep. To go the room, I needed to use the card 3 times with 3 doors, which are not convenient. The closet for each bed in the room I stayed is in vertical way. On the 1st day of my stay, due to being not very aware of the setup, the door of the closet broke one finger of mine, hurtfully. Blood on the floor, and tears on my face. The staff really got the emergency box to support for me, and willingly provided ice cubs to ease my pain. Although it was not the hostel’s fault, you must be careful if you are not familiar with the setup. Unfortunately, for my case, it ruined my entire stay, not only in this hotel, but also my following days in the other countries

The female dorm was really comfortable, all the other 4 girl were sweet and repected each others space and routine. The room has a separate bathroom and kitchen so it was super comfortable. Over all, quiet and close to the main tourist spots and bigger grocery stores are about 10-18 min walk away.

The kitchen has everything you might need except the basics like oil, pepper/salt for cooking, so you might need to buy it.

The hostel is beautiful and clean and the bar at the entrance is very welcoming

I slept really bad having the room in front of a truck entrance all night waking us up (we were 5 in the room). No AC at all while it was 35 degres. After a bad night of sleep, the cleaning lady comes at 8am to make the bed of the person that left that day. They usually wait the check out hour, which is 11am. I've never seen any hostel cleaning beds and room while others are still sleeping.

There was no towel included, you rent it for 130 korunas, 100 is returned, and 30 is for cleaning

The staff are very nice and friendly. Elena is super beautiful, helpful and warm, she even cooked free pancake for us. The room is surprisingly big and clean, there is even a kitchen for the room, bath room is also clean and nice. Great location, will stay there if revisit.

Reception was very helpful and attentive. They had activities in the hostel.

The guest kitchen was rather compact.

The only thing that was not up to my standards was that the room was so hot during the night that it was hard to fall asleep. Keep in mind for lower bunk beds, there are fans, but no AC.
