Hotel Klarinn Prague Castle

When I checked in and entered the room, the bed and floor of the hotel room were full of ants. I asked to change the room, but they said it was full and refused. I was told that they would exterminate them immediately and make sure it didn't happen again, so I went out, but when I returned to the room, many ants were crawling around the bed and side table again. When I talked to the reception again, they sprayed insecticide on the bed in front of me and told me to bear it. However, I couldn't let my child sleep in a bed that was covered in insecticide and had ants crawling around one after another, so I had no choice but to book another hotel and move, even though it was the middle of the night. The hotel staff promised me, "We understand your feelings. We will definitely contact you about the refund tomorrow," but in the end, I never heard from them. I managed my travel schedule and visited the reception a few days later because I got nothing from them, and the receptionist promised to contact me the next day, but I still haven't heard from them three days later. The receptionists at this hotel are part-timers, and the manager never shows up. I wonder if there is a manager. The cost of the 4 night stay has not been refunded or communicated to me. I have contacted Booking.com customer service but have not received any response. This hotel responds to your request when you make a reservation but does not respond when you have a problem. It is irresponsible and fraudulent. They do not answer the phone and ignore guests when they visit the reception. It is dishonest and I do not recommend it at all.

I loved the room, it looked like a room in a castle.I felt like I was thrown back in time in a good way.Everything in that room to the bathroom to the bed was beautiful. We had a view and it well clean and quiet.

Rooms were super clean and the location was ideal.

1. Generally Hotels provide with Dental kits, etc for free. however, this was not the case. 2. Not a stroller/wheel chair friendly hotel

Horrible! I'll explain why. I was given a room without a bathtub, even though I booked this hotel solely for it. I went to reception and asked why there was no bathtub, and the girl repeated that the room didn't have a bathtub, even though I'd been there before and seen everything: there were connecting doors, I saw a bed with hard mattresses, so it felt like you were sleeping on a board, even though they didn't warn you about that. I booked this room with breakfast, but reception didn't even mention it. I didn't know when it started, what time it lasted, or where it was located. I highly recommend this hotel.

Its a lovely old building at walking distance from the old town and the castle neighborhood. Breakfast is simple but good.

There are no kettles in the room so even an evening tea was not possible. While the towels were replaced daily the room was not cleaned and i had a carpet full of sand after 3 days of coming in and out. Almost no water came out of the tap at the sink so washing hands and brushing teeth proved difficult.

Amazing location and the view from the room is too good!

Great location – very central, around 950 meters by foot from the main attractions. Super convenient!Reception staff was excellent – very friendly and helpful.Comfortable bed – mattress was good enough for a night’s rest.

Cleanliness was disappointing – the room was not clean upon arrival, even though I requested cleaning after checking in.Early check-in not possible – I had asked for it in advance, but it was completely refused.Bedding was dusty – pillows and bedsheets didn’t feel fresh or clean. It was tolerable for one night, but not pleasant.No basic facilities – there were no glasses, kettle, or simple items in the room, which was surprising for a hotel.Overpriced currency exchange – although the price was listed as €X, they converted it using an inflated rate (1 EUR = 25.10 CZK) instead of the real rate (around 24 CZK). This means you end up paying more than €X. I recommend asking to pay in EUR directly to avoid losing money.

The decor is nice, and the beds are comfortable. The location is great! It's near tram, bus, and metro stations and within walking distance of the castle.

Shower is small, and the soap is on the other side of the bathroom.

There was no warm water after early morning, just barely lukewarm, airconditioning control was difficult to operate and the staff did not know how to help, it took half and hour to get it functioning, toilet was leaking, water was stuck in the faucet, the room had an old room stench in it, loud drinking people in the other room, hallways floor war dirty, there was no places in the toilet where to put your cosmetics or shampoos at the shower.

Very friendly staff, fantastic location to reach Prague castle and Old town by foot, very clean, room under the roof bigger than expected, parking space right in front of the hotel. This is the perfect charming place to stay if you want to visit Prague and I am sure I will come back!

Maybe a bit aged: here and there the wallpaper came apart / the water pipeline wasn’t the best on earth - but to be honest this made up the charme of this very special hotel! The mattress was on the harder side. Not a real disadvantage, my mom loved it. I myself prefer softer mattresses ?

I actually found it very cute and special. The decor is very castle like indeed and the bath was lovely after a long day Traveling. Very good location and the price was unbeatable. Comfy bed, two blankets and sets of pillows which was nice. I’d stay here again for sure!
